So torn about putting this under pregnancy or parenting 🥴 I think we’re halfway there on deliveries - just a last push needed!

@pigletpie2177 so funny about your husband, my partner literally said the same thing he was crossing all his fingers for her not to arrive this past Sunday and said I can hold her in if she hasn't come by this Sunday morning 😂 our daughter was born in 2019 and she arrived about 4 hours before the match which he was happy about and sat next to me holding her watching the game that was a Sunday too I wonder if we'll have the same kind of situation this Sunday! Bloody men n their footy, my partner is also a massive United fan!!

mummasoph · 19/01/2021 21:01

@WhoUsedMyName I used to live in Manchester, originally from the lakes and moved back here 6 years ago but come back down to Manchester when I can. Would love to find a good network of mums, I can't seem to find any on the same wavelength as me round where I am 😂

WhoUsedMyName · 19/01/2021 21:03

Ohh I'm not from Manchester I'm from Hertfordshire thought maybe a few of you were from that area.
I don't mind travelling though Grin x

WhoUsedMyName · 19/01/2021 21:04

@mummasoph anyway I basically have no friends other than all of two 😂😂

mummasoph · 19/01/2021 21:18

@WhoUsedMyName ahhh sorry I just assumed you lived in Manchester when you said 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ yeah would be nice for everyone to meet somewhere central to everyone maybe. Hahaha yeah I'm the same I have a couple of friends where I live but loads of friends that live all over from all the different places I've lived. I find it so hard to meet genuine friends now as I get older and especially since becoming a mum

SnookyPook · 19/01/2021 21:24

Hi All... yet again I’ve been crap at checking in! Missed so many posts I think I’ve missed tons of babies arriving! Congrats to all!!

I’m in the Still Waiting crew... official due date is Friday but so far he’s showing no signs of being in any rush! Think he’s far too cosy in my womb 😂 getting a few vague Braxton hicks (I think - still confusing lots of them with baby moving round!) and have had some mild period cramps. Bump also feels super heavy and I’m waddling round like a penguin. Apart from that... just plodding on and waiting!

SnookyPook · 19/01/2021 21:26

@mummasoph I’m in the exact same boat re friends! Some good friends miles away but no-one close. And as you say, it gets harder and harder to meet people (even more so in lockdown!! 🤪)

I’m in North Derbyshire, near Sheffield, so not too far away from you 👍🏼☺️

Lollipop93 · 19/01/2021 21:57

Hey everyone,

So after my bit feeling defeated post earlier about not thinking they will have space for me in labour ward! They did!! They broke my waters at 12pm and had my little boy at about 3pm. 8 pounds!!

Can’t believe it!!

pigletpie2177 · 19/01/2021 22:25

Congratulations @Lollipop93 that's great news! So pleased for you ❤️

@WhoUsedMyName @mummasoph @Bunnycrazy I'm between Manchester and Liverpool - meet ups would be lovely once the world is sane again but in the meantime we should definitely keep this group open like a virtual NCT group!

@SnookyPook are you due this Friday like me or have I remembered that wrong?

Bunnycrazy · 19/01/2021 22:53

@Lollipop93 Congratulations on the arrival of your little boy! Really quick labour then when it got going.

@pigletpie2177 It is good to have someone to talk to while we wait for the arrivals.

SunSparkle · 19/01/2021 23:09

I’m not due until the 28th (date from NhS) or 2nd Feb if I go off my dates. Baby girl still super high up and seemingly not ready to go anywhere. Sigh.

SnookyPook · 19/01/2021 23:42

@Lollipop93 aw congrats!!

@pigletpie2177 you’ve remembered correctly! Due date buddies! How are you doing?

@SunSparkle our babies will get here eventually! They are just cosy and safe and in no rush! The waiting does get harder the more other babies you see arriving though!!

Onekidnoclue · 20/01/2021 02:26

I’m afraid I’ve joined the smug new mum club. Baby was born late last night. He’s gorgeous and I’m in one piece. Slightly dramatic entry as he had the cord wrapped round his neck and was blue but he’s all ok now and aside from terrifyingly long fingernails he’s perfect. Sending positive vibes to everyone. X

Oh congrats and how scary for you @onekidnoclue at least you are both ok tho and you finally have your baby enjoy 😊

mummasoph · 20/01/2021 08:23

@pigletpie2177 not far at all! It definitely is even harder with bloody lockdown, not been able to go to any mum & baby groups with my daughter since I had her in October 2019 it's been such a shame really.

@Onekidnoclue so much for the little holiday 😂 massive congratulations and glad you're both doing well lots of love ❤️

SnookyPook · 20/01/2021 09:08

@Onekidnoclue aw congratulations!!! Grin

pigletpie2177 · 20/01/2021 10:04

Wow @Onekidnoclue that's great - after you talking about cramps at 8pm things must have moved so quickly!

I had stomach ache myself last night and I feel like my stomach is very hard still but I'm not sure whether it's anything exciting or just wind ☺️

@mummasoph I bet that's really hard. I have said that Lockdown has shown me I'm actually very antisocial and happy to hibernate but I remember the desperation to get out of the house with my firstborn.

@SnookyPook all good here thanks. Sweep on Friday and then again at 41w if nothing by then - the one last week was "unfavourable" 🙄 I'm using this week to have some quality time with my toddler but I'm so tired! How are you?

VeeVeeBee77 · 20/01/2021 12:06

Congratulations @Lollipop93 and @Onekidnoclue on your new arrivals!

Thought I might have been making progress last night with a whole host of feelings down below but it's been a quiet morning so seemingly not.

SnookyPook · 20/01/2021 13:37

@pigletpie2177 doing ok thanks! Bit of mild period cramp/backache combo overnight but nothing to get excited about! Got a midwife check shortly - she just wanted to keep an eye on my BP as it was a bit on the higher side at my 38wk app. Not had any internals/sweeps yet- not sure I want to... maybe if nothing is moving in a few more days.

StaceImpactWfan · 20/01/2021 14:42

Hi, I had my little girl on 5th jan. She's now 2 weeks old. Good luck to those still waiting x

pigletpie2177 · 20/01/2021 16:38

Congrats @StaceImpactWfan!

@SnookyPook I'm desperate to avoid induction if I can - I think being vbac my chance of EMCS rockets if I'm induced so I'm consenting to sweeps in an attempt to avoid that. If I get too far down the line and am asked to think about induction v planned section I might go with the latter, but positive mental attitude for now!

Onekidnoclue · 20/01/2021 17:04

Congratulations @StaceImpactWfan

I’m still in the weird bit where I’m constantly surprised by the presence of a baby! I keep looking at him thinking “blimey I did that!”

Also in shock at how newborns are mega poo factories! 🤮

SnookyPook · 20/01/2021 17:31

@pigletpie2177 yes that makes sense - don’t blame you! FTM here and hoping for as little intervention as possible...

Bunnycrazy · 21/01/2021 10:43

Waters broke this morning about 4.30. Not had any strong contractions. Went to triage who have confirmed they have broken. Have been sent home to see whether they start on there own if not will be induced tomorrow. Hopefully will have a baby here soon x

Onekidnoclue · 21/01/2021 11:03

Exciting @Bunnycrazy was it a proper Hollywood moment when they went? Mine both went very late, feel I missed a bit of drama!
