So torn about putting this under pregnancy or parenting 🥴 I think we’re halfway there on deliveries - just a last push needed!

@xsxsxsxs how scary thank goodness you made the call when you did! So glad she is here and all is ok now.

I'm upping my game now just been to get these from H&B. Come on baby!

Now if anyone needs me I'll be bouncing on my ball eating dates or soaking in a clary sage bath whilst munching RLT capsules ☺️ until my husband finishes work at least, poor man doesn't know what's hit him this week 🙊

@pigletpie2177 I’m pretty certain it was dates that got the ball rolling with me, it was the only “new” thing in the days leading upto waters breaking. 5-7 dates with a glass of cold milk

Hoping your little one arrives soon, healthy and safe

SnookyPook · 25/01/2021 16:53

@pigletpie2177 I’ve just had a midwife appointment and she said baby was fully engaged and really low down and basically I could go at any point! All up to him now! She also gave me some clary sage for the bath! Will be trying it tonight. Have been having some raspberry leaf tea the last few days but just ran out earlier today! Will have to order more if he doesn’t appear soon!

@xsxsxsxs I tried with dates but couldn’t manage to eat enough each day! My pack was open too long before I could finish them 😔

pigletpie2177 · 25/01/2021 18:03

My bet remains unchanged @SnookyPook - that all sounds really positive! Fingers crossed things get started soon.

My baby was still very high last Friday and the bump looks the same to me still. After scaring the crap out of me at 31wk it's typical that they now seem determined to make it to 41 😂

pigletpie2177 · 25/01/2021 18:04

Who else is still awaiting an arrival now?

HannahP2014 · 25/01/2021 23:16

Welcomed baby boy on the 22nd, waters were broke at 7:30 that morning and he was with us by 9:40am! Very fast and continuous contractions. No break in between from when waters were broken! I was in complete shock when he was placed on my chest as I couldn’t quite believe how fast it was!

Jodiea93 · 26/01/2021 05:36

@pigletpie2177 I’m still waiting! 4th child and currently 41+1 - I feel like it’s never going to happen 😞

WhoUsedMyName · 26/01/2021 08:40

@HannahP2014 omg! Look at him and that hat 😩

ExhaustedMumofsix · 26/01/2021 10:14

Hey guys. Just jumping on this thread if that's ok 😊
Due my sixth (little girl) on Saturday and just really impatient for it to be over and done now lol.
My first baby with a new partner after a 10 year gap and I swear my body handled this so much better when I was younger! 😩

WhoUsedMyName · 26/01/2021 11:46

@ExhaustedMumofsix I feel your pain mine was a 7year gap and god did it feel worse then any of the others, ridiculously quick labour though x

pigletpie2177 · 26/01/2021 12:29

Oh @HannahP2014 he is so gorgeous!

@Jodiea93 I should stop whinging at 40+4 then haha! I'm just feeling achey and impatient now. Are you just planning to wait for it to happen naturally or have you booked a plan b? My consultant wants to induce me this weekend.

Welcome @ExhaustedMumofsix! This is only my second and it's been a much harder pregnancy than last time! You are a superhero!

Jodiea93 · 26/01/2021 13:03

@pigletpie2177 I feel your pain. horrible isn’t it. The only good thing Is I haven’t told anyone my due date so don’t have the messages etc this time ( only took 4 pregnancies 😂 ) I’m being induced this Saturday- my first two where induced so I’m not new to it all but I’d rather him come naturally of course and have the added faff of getting the other kids watched 😞 x

HannahP2014 · 26/01/2021 15:00

Thank you everyone, got to say third time after pains have been something else!! It’s been like reliving the labour pains Shock x

WhoUsedMyName · 26/01/2021 15:12

They say after pains are worse with every child but 100% pains with my third were the worst ever

Bunnycrazy · 26/01/2021 22:11

Here is the our beauty Alice Rose, 3 days old now. Settling in well just wished she would sleep during night.

I think dates worked for me as well and maybe the clary sage. Once contractions with help of the drip started I progressed really quick. Drip started at midnight and started to push at 5am. Has to have ventose delivery in the end as baby was facing sideways. I truly recommend if your are having the drip and would like the epidural have it right at the start before you have drip. Had a prefect pain free labour. Very relaxed arrival. Just shame she couldn't turn and me in the right position.

pigletpie2177 · 27/01/2021 08:59

@Bunnycrazy she's gorgeous 😍 love her name too! My consultant has said the same re timing of epidural so that's helpful thank you. Were you in hospital whilst you had the pessary or did they put it in then send you home for til you needed to come back?

I had a total wobble yesterday and was very tearful. Think I'm working myself up now about what labour will be like during lockdown.

@SnookyPook you've been quiet - was I right? Hope all ok x

SnookyPook · 27/01/2021 09:15

@pigletpie2177 still here and still waiting for baby! 🤪 Starting to feel like I may just be pregnant forever 😂

Love the baby pics! Glad everyone is doing well xx

ExhaustedMumofsix · 27/01/2021 12:36

@WhoUsedMyName It's so much harder isn't it! It's really knocked me for six this time 😩 I'm actually a little worried about how quick I might be to be fair! I've always had super quick labours and deliveries, even the first, so I've warned my partner he may have to park up and catch her on the way! 😆

@pigletpie2177 I definitely don't feel super haha. With my first pregnancies I was so well and active but this time O. M. G. I've had all the niggles. Since Mat leave started last week all I've done is sit in bed like a useless potato, low iron, breathless and no energy at all. I just feel guilty all the time 😞.

I always tend to go overdue and this one has been measuring up big since the beginning too. My fourth was a 10 pounder and omg, I don't want to do that again! 😩😆

It's lovely to see some new arrivals though and good luck and strength to anyone still waiting ❤️

WhoUsedMyName · 27/01/2021 12:45

@ExhaustedMumofsix no4 was born in the hospital door way no5 my waters broke at home at 9 at 10.10 I was at hospital with a baby 😂 sending you luck x

mummasoph · 27/01/2021 17:28

Hey ladies, I had my baby girl in the early hours of Monday morning. Had my bloody show at midnight, started with contractions 15 mins later they were about 10 mins apart then quickly got closer & closer together ended up having to get an ambulance to hospital around 3:30 by which time my contractions were a minute apart got into delivery suite about 20 mins later my partner arrived they said I was 9cm and then my waters broke a few mins later then a minute after waters breaking my baby popped out. Was all very fast and no time for pain relief 😂 she was 7lb11oz 🥰 been in since Monday as she has suspected infection but hoping to go home tomorrow. Had her 1 day before my due date 😊 good luck to those still waiting for their little ones to arrive! Xxx

SnookyPook · 27/01/2021 18:09

@mummasoph congrats! She’s adorable! Sounds like a great birth experience too! Hope you get to go home ASAP! X

pigletpie2177 · 27/01/2021 18:58

Ahh @mummasoph she's beautiful.

Well Snooks looks like it's a race to the finish line, though the position of my bump suggests nothing is happening here. I'm thinking I'll be another section after all this psyching myself up for a vbac - baby does not want to engage ☺️

SnookyPook · 27/01/2021 20:51

@pigletpie2177 aw you never know! She might just be leaving it to the last minute!!

Bunnycrazy · 27/01/2021 20:56

@pigletpie2177 My hind waters broke but had no contractions so I had to deliver baby within 48hrs due to risk of infection. They put pessary in on the induction ward and had to stay in. They monitor the baby's heart rate and contractions. They gave the pessary then had to wait 6hrs to see if it worked. After 6hrs I was only 1cm dilated.

Good luck that your baby arrive soon when is your due date?

@mummasoph that sounds like a very quick labour. I thought mine was 5hrs from when they started the drip.

pigletpie2177 · 27/01/2021 21:56

@SnookyPook that's true. I'll see what they say on Friday at my sweep but I know we already have a mystery induction slot booked over the weekend and I'm kind of hoping it's Saturday now tbh!

@Bunnycrazy Snookypook and I are both 40+5 today. I have a third (and final) sweep booked for Friday after two wholly unsuccessful attempts but am being induced this weekend failing that. I had a section last time and wanted to try for vbac but not sure baby is going to play ball! Would they have kept you in if your waters hadn't gone? I'll have to make notes on Friday - I feel like everything they told me fell out of my head as soon as I left my last appt 🙈
