Bit my sisters hand during DS labour. She won't let me live it down.
I'd had so many drugs and god knows what to numb the pain, wasn't allowed to eat anything as I was high risk for a c-section, was so hungry and I heard someone mention a sausage roll (nobody did apparently) and I thought she was handing it to me to eat. I was very delirious! She is laughing about it now.

I feel so awful but AIBU to think it's not the craziest thing someone has done?

Omg that's hilarious! Definitely a story that's going to be told every year on little ones birthday hahaha.

I was coming round from anaesthetic and was aware of someone gently tapping my cheek.
I thought it was my DH so I grabbed the hand and kept kissing it.
It was the anaesthetist.

I made my husband discuss the Labour leadership contest during my C section to take my mind off it.

Birth does weird things to us 🤷‍♀️

I bit my dh on the chest during labour. Drew blood!
He still has a wee scar.

BuffaloHigh Tue 03-Aug-21 21:29:09

My friend who is one of the calmest people I know tried to bite the midwife during labour.

PolytheneRam Tue 03-Aug-21 21:29:46

That is brilliant.

How long ago was this?

@missrose0110

Oh yes it is grin

@PolytheneRam

3 years ago... yes she is still going on about it. I've just had another DS not long ago and that's how it's come up in conversation tonight. So I've come on to prove it's not just me!

I really fancy a sausage roll now

MsChatterbox Tue 03-Aug-21 21:39:05

I tried to eat a bolt off the bath tub. I hallucinated my midwife walk up to me and hand me a dextrose tablet. She wasn't even in the room. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't pick the bloody thing up.

imisscashmere Tue 03-Aug-21 21:39:27

I tried to bite my husband’s shoulder, as some kind of pain relief halo

IcantbelieveIjustdidthat Tue 03-Aug-21 21:42:56

I'm glad to see I'm not the only biter!

@BruceAndNosh I've just seen your comment! That's made me laugh!

Hahaha this thread has brightened my night! 😂😂

No biting here but apparently I kept asking why there was little men wandering around the room 🤷‍♀️😂

KilljoysDutch Tue 03-Aug-21 21:47:43

My bitchy midwife accused me of trying to bite her! She held my hand and I went to push it up against my face as I was baring my teeth through a contraction and she shouted "Don't you dare bite me!" and pulled her hand away. I'm still angry about it grin

Bostonbullsmumma Tue 03-Aug-21 21:50:36

My sister was screaming at everyone in the room to get off her sofa 😆 the sofa she thought everyone was on she hadn't had for about 5 years (it was an awful sofa too!!)

Louloubelle78 Tue 03-Aug-21 21:57:28

I had a home birth around Xmas and was overly concerned about still hosting. Apparently I kept giving instructions about some prawn vol-u-vents in the freezer and how to cook them in the oven. I remember the midwife saying that's enough about vol-u-vents so started obsessing about the dog being fed. All so random.

Offered to sell my toddler while under the influence of a GA blushsad.

Ohbuggeroffcovid Tue 03-Aug-21 21:57:48

My midwife turned me on my side and suggested I put my leg in the air to push out dd.

I burst into tears and said why are you trying to make me do exercise now isn’t it bad enough.

And I got told off for saying fuck.

mineofuselessinformation Tue 03-Aug-21 22:01:20

@Ohbuggeroffcovid, that made me properly laugh! 😁
I mooed like a cow with my second birth and got told off for shouting. I took no notice!

CovidCorvid Tue 03-Aug-21 22:02:44

I’m a midwife….a woman once punched me in the face so hard mid contraction my glasses flew off my head.

Twillow Tue 03-Aug-21 22:03:53

I bit DH hand during labour. Not because I thought it was a sausage roll though grin
