So it arrived damaged. Never mind, I thought, it's what's inside that counts...

Cheeseandcucumber Sat 02-Dec-17 12:05:36

Day 1: a mascara I've never heard of before so a little hesitant to swap my Charlotte Tilbury mascara for it but in the spirit of things, I give it a go!

It appears to be made from a unique potion, one that makes your eyes sting, and it bizarrely doesn't stick to the lashes. Just kind of floats there and each time you blink it comes off.

I put it on before making and having breakfast and it was gone by the time I left the house.

Cheeseandcucumber Sat 02-Dec-17 12:07:22

Day 2: Wow is that some sort of new magical blackhead popping, lip enlarging, space creation?

It's a funnel.

What for? Nobody knows.

Whatthefoxgoingon Sat 02-Dec-17 12:16:00

Errr not a great start is it?!

Cheeseandcucumber Sat 02-Dec-17 12:22:28

grin I think I'm looking forward to opening the doors more because it is so shit!

Gonna buy a chocolate one to have alongside it so I can have a treat to accompany the daily dose of humour.

Opheliasgoldenwine Sat 02-Dec-17 12:35:22

Omg grin

rookiemere Sat 02-Dec-17 12:40:47

What on earth is that funnel ???
How much did this cost? Next year go for the M&S one, seems a lot better than what you've got so far.

GeekyWombat Sat 02-Dec-17 12:43:20

If you're doing Elf on the Shelf, surely you can come up with some bizarre use for the mini funnel...

Is it bad I'm actually intrigued to see what you get tomorrow? Does this make me a shit advent groupie?

HandbagFan Sat 02-Dec-17 12:45:19

I got funnels like that in the Ciate nail polish advent calendar along with beads you push into the wet nail polish. Could it be for that and the nail toppings will come later? Never used it though!

bigfishlittlefishtupperwarebox Sat 02-Dec-17 12:49:37

I agree we need to know how much this little gem was... have you not always wanted a small plastic decidedly pointless funnel??

BringMeTea Sat 02-Dec-17 12:53:44

grin

Cheeseandcucumber Sat 02-Dec-17 13:02:43

grin don't worry, you can all borrow my funnel but expect a very long queue!

I believe it was bought for £25. I wasn't expecting to be bowled over for that price but at the very least I'd expect an explanation for the fucking funnel!

Handbag that's an interesting idea. Perhaps I have to wait until the 20th to receive some nail decoration that requires a funnel and all will become clear grin

I'm currently watching the Liberty advent calendar thread, reading posts about how they're disappointed with the smell of their full size Aveda volumising mist whilst I'm sat here twiddling my funnel fgrin

SilentlyScreamingAgain Sat 02-Dec-17 13:10:50

Yeah, but you have saved £200 to put towards something you actually do want and you've got a funnel.

Maudlinmaud Sat 02-Dec-17 13:14:53

I'm so placemarking to find out the use for your delightful funnel. I didn't buy one this year, not even my usual Yankee candle favourite.

YouWereRight Sat 02-Dec-17 13:23:50

Yikes! Perhaps Zoella was carefully curating for HOF too grin

sake Sat 02-Dec-17 13:29:29

Also placemarking for funnel use explanation and further advent shitness grin

sentenceinterrupted Sat 02-Dec-17 13:39:46

Usually funnels like that are for decanting perfume into atomiser bottles... perhaps a clue to a future day?

My son would probably try and wee through it.

ScarlettOH Sat 02-Dec-17 13:40:13

I think this is going to be my favourite advent calendar thread grin

makemineatriple Sat 02-Dec-17 13:47:06

This one sounds way better than the Liberty one. They WISH they had a funnel to twiddle.

SukiTheDog Sat 02-Dec-17 13:52:12

I want that funnel...

sake Sat 02-Dec-17 13:54:54

I was thinking the funnel had something to do with ear syringing. Sporn addict

Cheeseandcucumber Sat 02-Dec-17 14:02:45

grin I feared the thread would go this way, jealousy over my stealth boasts about the funnel.

Well I'm sorry but some of us are just luckier than others, some get funnels and others have to make do with their designer hair/skincare and makeup. Poor things.

DH thought it was a hat for the mascara fhmm maybe I'll open up a tiny jacket tomorrow.

buttwingsham Sat 02-Dec-17 14:06:44

Sweet Jesus I laughed out load at the mascara jacket!
Shamelessly place marking for tomorrow's piece of Christmas joy.

SandyDays Sat 02-Dec-17 14:06:51

I'm secretly hoping you channel your inner child and open a weeks worth in one day!
Looking forward to the next instalment of your shitty calendar

Rachie1986 Sat 02-Dec-17 14:09:19

Ok I don't have one of these but I'm placemarking to see if the use for the funnel ever becomes clear!
