Welcome everyone. We have over 150 people signed up this time, so it's going to be pretty busy, and the initial chat thread is going to be very fast-moving!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to post your starting weight.

Remember, you don't have to input your actual weight if you don't want to - you can index it, which means starting at 100 and then for every pound you lose, you take off a point.

If your name isn't on the spreadsheet, don't panic! Just add your name to the bottom, and then the lovely @AthelstaneTheUnready will re-alphabetise the list.

If you're on the spreadsheet and you don't want to be, don't worry - just don't enter any info, and then you'll be deleted after the first couple of weeks.

Thanks BIWI!
Must say I’m dreading the weigh in tomorrow morning. But it’ll be the kick up the arse I need.
Do we add our weight in lbs or kgs?

Report
TightPants · 14/10/2018 20:06

Sorry, just seen it’s lbs!

I'm so ready for this. Carbs are my no 1 enemy and I need to get shot forever. My tummy is so bloated that I get asked when it was due the other day (I was mortified) so I know carbs are to blame.

Bring it on peeps and let those pounds melt away

BIWI · 14/10/2018 20:13

@TightPants I think there should be a conversion tool somewhere on the spreadsheet if you don't want to do it in pounds

I need to do this. Am suffering from everything right now. I'll weigh in tomorrow, it won't be good, but at least everyone else will feel good about not being the heaviest.

Looking forward to it .. I'm all planned ..
My birthday is in week 9 , so Id love to be half a stone off for that.. Last BC i lost a stone, but as I have pretty much carried on food wise ( but not WineGin -wise ). I'm thinking that half a stone off should be doable, as i am not really changing my eating.. so that's my goal for this BC

I’m not looking forward to putting my weight on there either Chesterfield, but I’m hoping it will help motivate me!
I’m going to take before photos too 😳
But I won’t inflict them on you guys Grin

I've been brave and put on my weight already because:
a) I've got a very hectic morning tomorrow and will forget; and
b) I'm a massive fatty and hopefully will make others feel better about themselves!

You're welcome Wink

I'm not on the spreadsheet but hope to lurk and learn! Looking forward to this as the food sounds great for me

Can I just ask please if there is any limit on cream, mayo, etc as I know Atkins limit it? I'm not planning on drinking pints of it but I tried LC once before and didn't lose so am just wondering if you can go overboard (I don't have it in drinks so it would just be in cooking)

Right - a quick reminder (if you've done it before!), or if you haven't, these are the things that you can't eat during Bootcamp:

pasta/noodles
rice
bread/bagels/wraps/crumpets/naan/pitta/brioche/tortillas/tacos
pastry
flour/cornflour (or anything that might be thickening things)
sugar
honey/agave syrup/maple syrup
chocolate
potatoes/sweet potatoes/sweet corn/beetroot
crisps (of any kind)
popcorn
balsamic vinegar

And for the first two weeks, you can't have any fruit, nuts/seeds or alcohol

@IvorHughJarrs

There isn't a limit, but it's evident that lots of people have issues with dairy, so if you're eating a lot of dairy (cream, cheese, milk) and not losing, then try cutting that out.

Mayo you should be fine with, as that's just eggs and oil, which are perfect low carb food!

Hi all, I'm afraid I felt my weight was just too scary to make public, so I've taken the 100 approachBlush I will clamber gingerly onto the scales in the morning though to see just how bad it is.

I'm going to have an early night to trawl through all the sheets and mentally prepare for tomorrow. Here goes!

Have lurked for a while but think I'm finally in the right place to start. The support here always looks amazing.

Thanks @BIWI. The bootcamp I did had several people making the most fabulous food and I think I got caught up in a bit of a domestic goddess thing of amazing restaurant quality food every day but very little weight loss! I'll try to follow the rules sensibly this time

Laska5772 · 14/10/2018 20:53

BIWI..is coconut flour also out for the first two weeks?

Report
DramaAlpaca · 14/10/2018 21:00

Marking place for tomorrow. I lost 10lb on the last boot camp, and even though I've gone back to eating carbs it hasn't gone back on. Haven't lost any more though, so hoping another boot camp will get things going again. I'll be indexing my weight loss.

You don't need flour for savoury muffins though!

I'll find a recipe, hang on ...
