So fricking glad I bought Easter eggs a couple of weeks ago

But pissed I didn't buy dog food.

Started coughing on the first of April so am now in lockdown quarantine in our house. At least I don't have to worry about being able to give DD a fuck ton of chocolate to make up for all this awfulness. Wouldn't have felt comfortable asking someone else to get Easter eggs in for us, not exactly an essential.

Wish I had some easter eggs :(

All I've got remaining is some xmas rochers that are fast disappearing!

FWIW if I was doing a shop anyway I would pick up eggs for someone self isolating.
I would not go JUST to buy eggs, but would happily pop some in the trolley while I was there.

Me too. Being confined with kids and having not got them Easter eggs would of been asking for trouble Grin

Also-why are there even more people on here lately who just reply nasty or sarcastic replies to the OP. If you don’t like the thread, move the fuck along - it’s not hard Hmm

I bought easter eggs ages ago as they were on offer, and already delivered them ready. Feeling somewhat smug too Grin

i bought a load before this all started because they were on offer but they’re nearly all gone because i keep giving them to my kids because i feel sorry for them 🙈 by easter there will be none left but as it’s not going to be a proper easter anyway i’m not going to bother buying anymore.

But pissed I didn't buy dog food.

So order some online. Is this a difficult concept?

Exactly this. I have two colleagues fighting for their lives at the moment. Just be fucking nice to people...it's not hard. That person you snap at today might be gone tomorrow

I bought Easter chocolate and they are now gone as we have been eating them 😳 need to buy more the next time I go to the shop (I shop for the essentials and there are Easter things there, so pick up the while I’m there)

I went a bit mental in Aldi - DD is 5, nearly 6, and has been going on about Easter for months! (Pretty much as soon as she ran out of Christmas chocolate!) I also got some bunny ears in Hobbycraft just before the schools shut as I was buying craft stuff to do at home so she and her little sister can put bunny ears on and go hunting for chocolate in the garden.

I made a start sticking one in the trolley when I went shopping, had 5.... Now have 2 Grin 🐽

Reckon the other 2 will end up gone by tomorrow night!

We usually buy for all the kids in the family but obviously won't be seeing anyone this year so won't bother. Will stick a few in the trolley when I do a big shop over the weekend so the DD's get some, I think (hope!) there's still plenty in the supermarkets here 🤞🏻

Our local Tesco has hundreds of Easter Eggs. They have been used as barriers and walls. Even the nice eggs. By now all there's usually left is a few Double Decker Eggs and stupidly expensive tiny eggs in crappy mugs. It is amazing. I predict some serious discounting on Easter Eggs pretty soon.

Barrique when I checked the pets at home website four days ago everything was sold out. At that point I didn't have any symptoms so I thought, no rush, I / DH will go get some in a few days. But now I'm coughing and struggling to breathe properly, we can't go out for another 12 days, and dog may run out by then.

Also, annoyingly, dog has a sensitive stomach and if we change her food she ends up with squitty shit for days, something I could live without right now.

I bought eggs at the beginning of March for my (adult) children and their partners as they were all going to come home this weekend. I also bought eggs for various children and friends. My mother bought the same. We now have 45 Easter eggs in the spare room and we are a household of 5. We have no idea when we will see most of the family again!

I'd also happily buy someone easter eggs if I was shopping, people are being so helpful and kind at the moment I think most people would. I was lucky and got a Tesco delivery slot this week so put Easter eggs in then - if not I'd have asked someone as we're also isolating. The kids have had enough disruptions with school shutting, not seeing their friends, missing their grandparents etc, we can't not have easter too!

You do know that there are more than one online pet food sites, right?

And if you know your dog has digestive issues, did you not think think that was just a wee bit more important than buying chocolate crap?

LegoBloodyHurts · 03/04/2020 19:23

Namechangervaver Sad that’s awful. Hope your colleagues pull through.

OP-have you tried amazon for dog food? Do you have any friends who could pick some up for you? Hope you are sorted soon
