So fricking glad I bought Easter eggs a couple of weeks ago

But pissed I didn't buy dog food.

Started coughing on the first of April so am now in lockdown quarantine in our house. At least I don't have to worry about being able to give DD a fuck ton of chocolate to make up for all this awfulness. Wouldn't have felt comfortable asking someone else to get Easter eggs in for us, not exactly an essential.

OP posts:

Coronavirus really brings all the arseholes out the woodwork!

Hope you dont get too ill op.

0nwardsAndUpwards · 03/04/2020 19:23

@IthinkIsawahairbrushbackthere if you'd like to send some my way, I'm sure I can find a good home for them... 😋

YgritteSnow · 03/04/2020 19:25

Why are people being such cunts? 🤷‍♀️

@Barrique any ideas?

riotlady · 03/04/2020 19:26

What a weirdly innocuous thread for people to start being dicks on Confused

I threw one each for DD, me and partner in my last delivery a couple of weeks ago. Not eating them early has been a test of my willpower!

YgritteSnow · 03/04/2020 19:27

And you bluewaffle, any thoughts?

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 03/04/2020 19:27

Same cheri

Unfortunately i also bought eggs for relatives we won’t be seeing and ive eaten those!

I haven’t touched the ‘actual’ easter eggs so thats good!

TheMamaYo · 03/04/2020 19:27

Me too! The easter eggs anyway. I stocked a few the week before school closed, so happy I did. The kids have something to look forward to. I might even sneak one in myself.

Hope you'll be ok soon OP. Also, just ignore the nasty comments. It's not personal, people are on edge, not being as nice as they can be.

YgritteSnow · 03/04/2020 19:28

I've ordered myself a mint Lindt egg. My youngest doesn't like chocolate though - I know WTAF?! - so she will get a tenner instead.

Vegansarefriends · 03/04/2020 19:29

When people type a nasty reply to someone, online, do they feel some sort of adrenaline rush or something?
Why do it?

Barrique · 03/04/2020 19:29

@YgritteSnow

Yes, thank you, I do have an idea - maybe prioritise your dog’s needs because it depends on you over trumpeting you’ve laid in unnecessary crap?

Witchofzog · 03/04/2020 19:30

@YgritteSnow I was just about to say the same thing. Some people are just nasty.

Op- ignore the scattered cunts on here. I hope your dd enjoys her eggs and that you are better soon

YgritteSnow · 03/04/2020 19:32

I am sure the OP will ensure ddog's needs are taken care of but then I don't particularly enjoy looking for any excuse to rip into an OP. Why don't you go and have a lie down?

Vaginandtonic · 03/04/2020 19:33

Jesus, why are people being so horrible on this thread? Bizarre!

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 03/04/2020 19:35

I’ve been buying wine & chocolate every time we’ve been shopping (only one of us goes before I get jumped on for saying we’ve 🙄) as if one of the household gets symptoms we can’t go out and I need wine and sweets in my life!

OP your dd will love her eggs, even more so at such a dire time 💕 sorry to see some cunt reply’s on here but this virus is bringing out the nasty in many on here it seems

Feel better soon 🍫

Escapeistheonlyoption · 03/04/2020 19:36

Our local co-op has loads of easter eggs on deliveroo- not sure if this is national. It is just a mini co-op.

Frankiecandle · 03/04/2020 19:36

Fucking hell. the dementors are out in force on this thread.

PotholeParadise · 03/04/2020 19:36

Try fetch.co.uk or Pets@Home for the dog food

user1353245678533567 · 03/04/2020 19:36

@Krisskrosskiss You'd probably have to get there early because they've got a daily cap on orders, but this might be one to try...

Barrique · 03/04/2020 19:37

I’m sure OP though she was being amusing, “oh look at me, I’ve stockpiled Easter eggs but the dog will go hungry”.

Not “does anyone know the best place to order specialist dog food online?”

If you don’t want dickish replies, don’t start dickish threads.

Haffiana · 03/04/2020 19:37

Jesus, why are people being so horrible on this thread? Bizarre!

Fear. Not managing fear and lashing out.

HelloGabriel · 03/04/2020 19:37

Why are people being such cunts? 🤷‍♀️

@YgritteSnow you put it so much better than me Grin

EmmaC78 · 03/04/2020 19:37

Jesus, why are people being so horrible on this thread? Bizarre!

I thought the same. Now of all times people should be nice. Although saying that I dislike OP as this thread has made me want an Easter Egg and I have none in the house. Easter Egg chocolate always tastes better for some reason.

I heard at work that some Easter eggs were down in price this week. I think Sainsbury's were mentioned. I have none to buy but might buy myself one!!!

Redcrayons · 03/04/2020 19:43

I bought mine before the madness started, as I usually do. I have bought a few extras as It’s nice to buy treats when we’re all feeling rubbish. They’re rammed with them in Tesco.

I’d pick some up for you if I knew you. Ask some friends who aren’t isolating, most people are willing to help.
