So fricking glad I bought Easter eggs a couple of weeks ago

But pissed I didn't buy dog food.

Started coughing on the first of April so am now in lockdown quarantine in our house. At least I don't have to worry about being able to give DD a fuck ton of chocolate to make up for all this awfulness. Wouldn't have felt comfortable asking someone else to get Easter eggs in for us, not exactly an essential.

I read the OP as “oh bugger I might run out soon”. Not I’m going to gorge myself on chocolate and let the dog starve! Bloody hell, it was an ironic chuckle to herself about being a bit daft!

On the dog food front, I have cats with sensitive tums and I have swapped onto Amazon own brand. It comes in massive bags, I have it on subscribe and save so it just turns up every month without having to remember to order it. The cats love it.

If you are considering changing brand now would be the time to do it whilst you have enough left of the normal brand then you can do the slow mixing method to transition and hopefully avoid the squits! 💩

I got mine when they were half price before the crazy panic buying started and more amazed the children haven't stolen them to eat by now than anything! Might get some more with my shopping this week (for me!). But it is nice knowing things are organised for others even when you're unwell yourself so can't get out.

Yep *@CheriLittlebottom, Terry's Chocolate orange.
I've seen two. One with the bars and one with popping candy segments.
I was actually shocked and amazed that the large chocolate egg was orange flavoured. I was just expecting the bars to be.Grin

Ok, enough of the egg...

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 22:10

Spied chocolate orange egg! Shock

But glad to see no OPs or dogs were harmed in the process Wink

louise5754 · 03/04/2020 22:15

😍😍😍

I thought you’d been feeding your dog Easter eggs from all the horrid comments from one PP!! I had to read it back. Mountain, molehill much!

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 22:41

That username is excellent, doghair. Promise I'm not feeding her chocolate!

Bouncingbomb · 03/04/2020 22:43

Send her to me OP, she looks hard done by.

Bouncingbomb · 03/04/2020 22:45

Ps. Vv clever carpet matching.

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 22:47

Most of our home furnishing decisions are made from a 'what will best disguise the dog hair' standpoint.

I don't like hoovering.

Justajot · 03/04/2020 23:11

@louise5754 yes, why?

BurgerQuean · 03/04/2020 23:39

@Barrique I hope you’re ok. I’m trying to remind myself that people who respond as you do, by being fucking vicious, are just frightened and looking for someone to take it out on. So, I hope you’re ok, and I hope you stop being frightened soon.

Deathraystare · 04/04/2020 07:21

When people type a nasty reply to someone, online, do they feel some sort of adrenaline rush or something?
Why do it?

They are scared, lonely (or should be!) or have had a bit too much wine and have become very silly indeed!

Deathraystare · 04/04/2020 07:25

@Deathraystare
😂 it’s often the “ slightly off topic” posts which are the best😊
It was hilarious in the midst of all the hating to hear someone casually mentioning the queen’s preferences when buying dog food.
A bit of comic relief 🤣

It was on the programme about Waitrose having a Royal warrant and someone who knows about royallty happened to mention that the Queen buys Tesco basics for her dogs!

They had gone on about the Duchy originals stuff, including the dog food and it just tickled me!

Deathraystare · 04/04/2020 07:27

Cue Chri's dog trying to look half starved for all the trolls to see. Failing badly!!!

KatherineJaneway · 04/04/2020 07:32

I was lucky enough to get one of the Ferrero Rocher ones, I'd planned on taking a photo of it next to a bottle of wine and posting on Facebook saying 'My Easter is sorted' but now will think again 😁

pocketem · 04/04/2020 07:38

Wow fascinating

motortroll · 04/04/2020 07:39

I got some when I realised we were going to have no money which was quite early on as husbands business is aerospace so it went tots up pretty quickly!

So while I was in Aldi I bought some eggs and my mum sent hers over too the last time my sister saw her (she always gets hers early)

I'm not isolated completely so could get some but glad I don't need the unnecessary trip or money!

CheriLittlebottom · 04/04/2020 09:41

Well pocket clearly hasn't RTFT!

How is DoggiCheriLittlebottom today ..... has she worked out that her feeding days are numbered 😂😂😂.

Hope you are feeling ok Cheri. 💐

YgritteSnow · 04/04/2020 12:06

Pocket was the first one to comment...and said the same thing. Weird Confused

CheriLittlebottom · 04/04/2020 12:16

Doggie has been, most unwisely, running around in the garden with DD. DH tried to explain that she needed to conserve her energy in the face of her imminent enforced diet, but she was too busy chasing a tennis ball to listen.

I'm feeling a lot better today, thanks. Dd2 woke at six which was unwelcome but DH then took both kids away from 7 and I slept. Much of the feeling of weight on my chest is gone, still coughing but definitely breathing more normally. Hoping by the end of this weekend I'll be fine.
