So fricking glad I bought Easter eggs a couple of weeks ago

But pissed I didn't buy dog food.

Started coughing on the first of April so am now in lockdown quarantine in our house. At least I don't have to worry about being able to give DD a fuck ton of chocolate to make up for all this awfulness. Wouldn't have felt comfortable asking someone else to get Easter eggs in for us, not exactly an essential.

@CheriLittlebottom You can still buy dog food AND Easter Eggs at most places. Smile

Try Morrisons. Also Lidl and Aldi and B & M. They are all being quite strict (when to comes to the amounts,) but you should be able to buy pretty much everything you need. Flowers

Herpesfreesince03 · 03/04/2020 20:00

Oh do fuck off @Barrique. You’re boring the life out of everyone. No one thinks you’re clever. Just a stuck up twat

Barrique · 03/04/2020 20:02

Oh, thank you @Herpesfreesince03

Sounds like you have an apt username?

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 20:03

Barrique did you read my carefully numbered post that clearly explained why I had procured chocolate but not dog food? I can't make it any clearer. The last time I was out of the house we had ten kilos at least left, and we weren't meant to be stockpiling. If I'd bought it then, it might have meant someone who needed it far more couldn't get any.

As to why I mentioned it at all, I was kind of making a light-hearted dig at myself for not being sufficiently psychic to see my housebound state coming. But you seem to have a self righteous arsehole gland where your sense of humour gland should be....

@Barrique can I join you in the stuck up twat corner? I too made sure I have a plentiful supply for my animals

Beautiful3 · 03/04/2020 20:04

Have you tried amazon for dog food? Hope you feel better soon.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 03/04/2020 20:04

Barrique maybe a chocolate egg and glass of wine would help you chill the fuck out instead of being a knob...for no reason

Still what ever makes you sad life better in the middle of a crisis 🤷🏻‍♀️

Samtsirch · 03/04/2020 20:05

@Deathraystare
😂 it’s often the “ slightly off topic” posts which are the best😊
It was hilarious in the midst of all the hating to hear someone casually mentioning the queen’s preferences when buying dog food.
A bit of comic relief 🤣

1forsorrow · 03/04/2020 20:05

thorntons online appear to have run out ditto hotel chocolate and other places youd expect I thought that about Thorntons but logged on at 9 am yesterday and ordered some. Got an email today to say they have been dispatched. They seem to be only taking so many orders a day and then closing till the following day. One of the small ones for your little girl wouldn't cost much, I ordered 2 and with postage I think it was £11. Of course to make the most of the postage you could order one for yourself.........

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 20:06

Helga, thanks, bit I can't go out now. Got the lurgey. I will keep trying the pets at home website over the next few days (own brand food, dog sensitive to changes in diet, see up thread) and if it's not looking good I will need to ask my parents to go.

@Barrique I’m sorry that you’ve not only been denied any intelligence, but also any sense of humour

kayleesmithy · 03/04/2020 20:07

Really want an Easter egg right now!!!

Herpesfreesince03 · 03/04/2020 20:08

@MrsSnitchnose have you read the part where she’s got 10kgs of a 20kg sack left? That would last my massive American bulldog 3-4 weeks 🙄😂

Samtsirch · 03/04/2020 20:09

@Deathraystare
I can’t stop giggling about it!
Perhaps I’ve been cooped up too long
I keep imagining her Madge trundling around Tesco checking out the dog food deals 🤣

helgahelga · 03/04/2020 20:10

@CheriLittlebottom Hope you manage to get what you need! Smile

Hope you feel OK soon too!

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 20:11

Thanks Helga! At least I know if I feel really awful I can have some chocolate Grin

@Herpesfreesince03

Er no, you’ve lost me on that one.

1forsorrow · 03/04/2020 20:11

For some strange reason this thread has made me crave for some After Eight. Don't know why.

VivaLeBeaver · 03/04/2020 20:11

I’m also glad I bought eater eggs. But a friend was telling me about hotel chocolat Easter stuff and I decided I wanted some but it’s all sold out!

Barrique · 03/04/2020 20:12

*@MrsSnitchnose have you read the part where she’s got 10kgs of a 20kg sack left? *

Yeah, no drip feeding going on here, is there?

helgahelga · 03/04/2020 20:13

Chocolate is verrrry important @CheriLittlebottom Grin

CheriLittlebottom · 03/04/2020 20:14

1 I bought after eights when I bought the Easter eggs! It tasted of Christmas in our house for a few days. Gone now, sadly. DH gets very snacky when working from home, it seems.

Ignoring all the daft replies. Is there a local pet shop or vets you can order the food from? A local volunteer group may be able to help with delivering to you. Our local pet shop is doing deliveries.

dementedma · 03/04/2020 20:17

There are loads in the supermarkets. What’s the problem?

VivaLeBeaver · 03/04/2020 20:17

I think a lot of people didn’t think there would be a rush on pet food.
