It's day 23 and there are just 7 days of Dedicate left. Well done yogis for getting onto the mat in your own way and at your own pace. We’re here to support each other as we yoga to the end of Dedicate, through to Feb and beyond.

Deep Core for me today. I did rather clumsily manage the funny roll ups that annoyed August (tho' I can't normally do the 'rock n roll' move) but now I'm sitting in bed with my tummy still quivering!

eurochick · 25/03/2019 22:19

Hello all. I did one of Adriene's bedtime routines today after a bit of a break. I was travelling for work and my hotel room had no space for yoga, then I picked up a cough and cold and couldn't face hanging upside down or twisting myself about. It was a lovely routine to ease myself back in.

quirkychick · 26/03/2019 07:54

I did the Five Parks morning boost again today, it has quite a bit of core in it too. I feel quite energised now.

noodle glad to hear you are a bit better. I think the beauty of yoga is you can always choose something restorative on days when you need it.

AugustRose · 26/03/2019 09:17

Just a warning Green I am still feeling those abs a few days later, ouch!

I'm about to do the yoga for concentration and mental focus as I have an important meeting later this morning.

67chevvyimpala · 26/03/2019 09:19

Just did the anxiety and stress one. Not sure if it was the reset one but I enjoyed it.

quirkychick · 28/03/2019 07:28

I did the Five Parks 15 mins Deep Stretch yesterday (no, I can't do full splits or lizard holding my back foot, but she showed quite a few modifications) and some sun salutations this morning. Both kind of short and sweet.

AugustRose · 29/03/2019 09:46

Hope you are all hanging in there and those who were ill are feeling better/recovered.

I did the Adriene Shakti Flow again on Wednesday but none yesterday, hoping for a short one today but it has been a mad mad week. I'm looking forward to the easter break (it starts today here in Cumbria) and some time to slow down.

67chevvyimpala · 29/03/2019 13:12

We have 2 more weeks yet...:(

GreenHatHacker · 29/03/2019 21:26

My favourite 'yoga for when you are knackered' again tonight - day 8 of Dedicate. I always turn to it when I need to relax and haven't got the energy for much else - it's been a long week!

quirkychick · 30/03/2019 08:38

I did this one this m.youtube.com/watch?v=KLsl_nzIaVM one this morning. I have a couple of her dvds which have 20 min vinyasa flows, which are great for a quick yoga workout in the morning. This one is new to me, I had to stay at the simpler level for quite a few poses, side planks, core work, etc. but I certainly don't need to do any more core or arm exercises today!

quirkychick · 30/03/2019 08:39

Forgot to post, it's called AM Energy 1, not for when you're knackered! Dedicate day 8 is lovely, as is Intro to Yin.

quirkychick · 31/03/2019 09:59

Today, I'm feeling it, so I did the Five Parks lower back stretch - 15 mins lying down including some 3 part breathing, followed by repeating the seated stretch and twist, which ends with a guided shavasana. I feel relaxed and stretchy now Grin.

AugustRose · 31/03/2019 18:09

I've looked at the Shiva Rea but to be honest I can't get past the voiceover, it just seems to serious to me, I like Adriene's lighthearted joking and Erin's (Frive parks) good instruction while they are doing it with you.

No yoga on Friday/Saturday as my mum and stepdad were visiting, I did a Five Parks Hold & Flow class because it was only 30 minutes a nice flow and not vigorous.

67chevvyimpala · 31/03/2019 18:28

I've downloaded the April calendar.

March has been a disaster yoga wise :(

quirkychick · 31/03/2019 20:58

AugustRose it is very Californian/new age, but I kind of like that. I think she's one of the people that developed vinyasa flow irrc. I like all three and flip between them as I feel. Dp did come in last week and asked why all the yoga videos I do are American!

Erin's flows can be quite tough, but her stretch videos are really excellent and really show the progression to different stages of poses (which one day, some of them I may eventually be able to do). I really wanted to increase my flexibility this year and I hope these will help, on days I feel less energetic, I've been choosing these as I feel it counteracts the faster sessions.

chevvy, I felt like that last month, as I had dd2's lurgy. If it's any consolation, I've managed to progress lots more this month so you will get there.

67chevvyimpala · 31/03/2019 20:59

Thanks :)

67chevvyimpala · 01/04/2019 11:38

Happy April yogis! 😁🤸‍♂️

I've done the 1st day of ACT....yoga for the future. Got me warm!

AugustRose · 01/04/2019 14:09

No yoga for me today, I decided it's time to ramp up the fat burning so did an old cardio kickboxing video from Youtube that I loved from 2 years ago, I am planning to try this twice a week with yoga every other day. I just won't be able to walk or use my arms for the next few days Shock - let's just say I had to miss/modify quite a lot.

quirkychick · 01/04/2019 14:13

AugustRose I used to love kickboxing. I haven't done it since the dcs and I'm not sure some of my joints pelvic floor would thank me any more Sad.

67chevvyimpala · 01/04/2019 15:58

Sadly, 2 herniated lumbar discs, dodgy hips and nodules on both Achilles tendons mean most high impact stuff is out for me.

Although cardio never really worked that well for me as a fat burner tbh.

I might look at hit workouts.

quirkychick · 01/04/2019 20:38

Ow, chevvy that sounds painful! I damaged a ligament in my ankle doing high impact years ago. A few years ago I had tendonitis in my hamstring and have related back issues. Now, I do daily yoga, walking and some weights.

GreenHatHacker · 01/04/2019 21:19

Happy April everyone. Three months in!
Yoga for the future for me today too. Made me realise how much progress I've made, as I used to find Warrior 1 really uncomfortable - was just fine in this flow today. Sneaky hip-dips though! Another for the "save to do again" list.

67chevvyimpala · 01/04/2019 21:31

Hate hip dips! :)

I quite like warrior. I have peaceful warrior on my list to do

GreenHatHacker · 01/04/2019 21:38

I enjoyed peaceful warrior 67 - was based on warrior 2, rather than 1, which I still find much easier!

whitershadeofpale · 01/04/2019 21:40

I’ve just got in and am knackered so going go do a slow one and bed. Maybe yoga for when you’re depressed. Has anyone done that one?
