Have I gone too far?

?

😆📰🐟🍟

Of course you did!

RedHelenB · 03/12/2024 14:32

That would make me chuckle.

YouveGotAFastCar · 03/12/2024 14:33

I'm not sure that's a way to get made redundant. It's a role that gets made redundant, not a person - it doesn't matter if they think you specifically are a knob or not.

Doliveira · 03/12/2024 14:33

Haha

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 03/12/2024 14:33

That'll work well

If you push it enough they could just sack you and get rid of you without having to pay a penny - good plan

HelterSkelter224 · 03/12/2024 14:34

...or they'll manage you out instead 🤷‍♀️

Hillrunning · 03/12/2024 14:35

It won't get you made redundant but might get you fired. Shocking spelling in that first message.

Horrace · 03/12/2024 14:36

I'm weak 🤣

ohyesido · 03/12/2024 14:36

It'll force me to do something meaningful with my life either way

Jobs get made redundant, not people.

CreationNat1on · 03/12/2024 14:36

Would it be easier, just to let them know redundancy would suit you.

NewBootsWeather · 03/12/2024 14:36

Both parts of the message made me laugh 😁

EveryKneeShallBow · 03/12/2024 14:38

This place is going to the dogs

Scutterbug · 03/12/2024 14:40

Jeez. If you want to be made redundant then why not just quit and find another job? Pushing people like that could end in being fired. Not great in your CV.

neverthmore · 03/12/2024 14:41

Yeah, you'll end up with a manager who hates you and makes your life miserable and maybe a disciplinary too, which will show on your reference and mean you lose a job offer that was made to you. So its not a great plan you have there OP.

If you hate your job move yourself along rather than silly, futile and ultimately self-destructive attempts to manipulate someone else into doing this for you.

Apate · 03/12/2024 14:43

If you sent that in my company you'd be fired. And rightly so.

ohyesido · 03/12/2024 14:44

You're all very right but it amuses me to push the boundaries somewhat

But it just makes extra work for your manager. Amusing yourself at someone else’s expense, really poor form. Your manager may have all sorts of pressure and stuff going on both professionally and personally and then they get that. That’s also a personal attack on the manager rather than in the company. Bet you think you are sticking it to “ the man”. Poor behaviour.

Yes, no redundancy payout if that's what your holding out for. Keep going and it'll be gross misconduct & being fired.

MarmaladeSideDown · 03/12/2024 14:58

ROFL

sandrapinchedmysandwich · 03/12/2024 15:00

Why would you deliberately be a rude cunt to someone for your own ends? I hope they fire you and that your reference reflects your disgusting attitude. How *amusing" would that be?

Finetoday · 03/12/2024 15:01

Do they actually know you would be interested in a voluntary redundancy situation?
Put it in writing to your Manager in the first instance.

Don’t take your incompetence out on others flower x
