I'm curious... what hours do you work and how old are your kids?

Just like the title says really... how many hours do you work and how old are your kids?

I have a 3yo and I work 40 hours a week... I used to work 45-50 hours so I have cut down but I'm still burnt out. Am I expecting too much of myself to work full time?

my youngest is 11. I have two adult children also. I work 6:30am-2:30pm 4 days per week.

I was lucky that I didn’t have to work until my youngest was 6yrs. I don’t know how you do so many hours with a little one. Much respect to you.

You just sleep less. 😆🤷🏻‍♀️

DD is 17 now, but I’ve worked FT since she was 6 months.

DD - 6 months to 3 years I worked 9-5.30 on 3 days a week (mixture of DM, DH, DMIL and an Au pair childcare)
DD - 3 - 5 years - I worked 4 days 9-5.30 (mixture of DMIL, DH and Au Pair)
DD - 5 years to 16 years - 5 days a week - 9-5.30 (MIL after school care until DD was 12).

I do 40 hours a week in a senior level job, and am a single parent to 2 DC under 7, one with additional needs which mean that that DC attends a specialist school.

I manage as I have a Nanny Housekeeper who also works 40 hours, and runs my house, including wraparound childcare and school runs. We couldn't live without her as she is a godsend. Not sure what I will do if she leaves/retires, so I make sure to treat her very very well.

Have a 2.5 year old.

Work 40 hours per week.

His nursery is 1.5hrs drive each way.

His dad & I have split so apart from 2 nights a week it all falls on me.

Struggling a bit!

That sounds shit for your 2.5 year old too. 1.5 hour car journey to get to nursery 5 days a week?

2 teenagers. I work 50h + a week but have good holidays which compensates.

2 teenagers, aged 15 and 16. I’ve just gone back to work FT (38hpw) before that I worked 3 days a week term time.
