Victoria, don’t worry because it took about 2 months to find out the outcome of my interview.

Hi, I've been invited to do the pre-recorded interview which is great. Can anyone tell me is it possible to do this on a pad not a laptop? Been prepping for the interview and hoping for the best 🙏.

Louise2288 · 16/10/2020 10:17

Hello,
Does anyone know if they are advertising these jobs again in Cheshire area? I heard November?

Victoria777 · 16/10/2020 11:28

Ok thanks x

Toooldforthisshit49 · 18/10/2020 14:55

Worst interview ever! No way of getting your personality across, kept answers concise as didn't want to waffle. Received email today, didn't get the position but did get feedback so will work on that but definitely wouldn't recommend pre-recorded video interviews hope this is not the future 🙏 good luck to anyone else that's applying x

Mszeebop · 20/10/2020 16:49

I applied 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything yet. I have been offered a post in the past and recall it being a lengthy process, but not at this stage.

They must be inundated with applications. Fingers crossed for you Victoria777

Victoria777 · 20/10/2020 17:51

Thankyou, I hope you get it Mszeebop xxx

Hi, I came across this site by accident searching for info on DWP Work Coach jobs questions. I had an automated interview back in October and although I had prepared, it went horribly wrong. I was all over the place. I have now applied again and have my interview tomorrow morning before 12.00 - going to do it at 10.00. Notes prepared but this time I am hoping not to rush into it and listen to the questions.

Does anyone know if we can refer to notes whilst doing the interview?

PS, hope you were all successful, if not try again, practice makes perfect and they are still recruiting.

Parsley1234 · 22/11/2020 09:47

Good luck to you all
I started last week and it’s ok.
@Memmy1211 I think you can refer to your notes
Don’t overthink it though just do your best

Memmy1211 · 22/11/2020 12:03

Thanks for your response Parsley,.
Good to know I can use my notes, although I am aware I need to be focused and make eye contact with the person on the other end of the pre-recorded video, so don't want to make it too obvious.

Glad to hear you were successful.

Parsley1234 · 22/11/2020 15:00

@Memmy1211 I was lucky I think as I didn’t prepare atall I did the video at 6am before getting a flight to Greece and then it took forever to hear back but I got DWP 90 mins away when I reapplied closer to home I got rejected. Good luck my sons dad interviewed for east London yesterday and he prepared very hard I think I was really lucky and the the job is better than ok it is great 😊

Memmy1211 · 22/11/2020 18:36

Wow, well done you! I am also applying for East London and Essex. Have answers for 6 questions based on Communication and Influencing, Managing a Quality Service and Effective Decision making.

Q's I based my answers on are:
Can you tell me a time when you have had to communicate important message to other people
Tell me a time you have had to deliver a quality service
Tell me a time you have had to make important decision
How would you adapt your communication to someone who is struggling to understand
How would you ensure your judgement is right
Would people describe you as making good decision

Hope I am asked these like so many others on this forum.
Thanks again Parsely

Parsley1234 · 22/11/2020 18:59

@Memmy1211 good luck 🤞 I have been self employed for all my life and my 3 businesses are gone so for me to take a salaried job is unbelievable and for the civil service double unbelievable but it’s been great- the very best of luck x

Memmy1211 · 22/11/2020 20:21

Hi Parsley,

That's such a shame but you are amazing to have had 3 businesses and you managed to get into the Civil Service without trying|! fab.

Thank you for the luck and wishes, I will let you know how I get on tomorrow. Not sure how to put an emoji on here X

Louise2288 · 23/11/2020 09:37

Hello all,

I have applied for Nov campaign & been invited for an interview today. So i'm now preparing to do this in the next day or so. I'm a bit nevrous and unsure what to prepare.
Has anyone from Nov campaign got any tips on the pre-recorded interview stage, I aware the 6 questions are based on the 3 behaviors. But i'm unsure what to prepare.

Thankyou :)

Memmy1211 · 23/11/2020 10:16

Hi Louise,
I am preparing for my interview in half an hour, please see the questions I have used to prepare, 2 messages above to Parsley1234 sent on Sunday. I'm not sure if they are the questions that will be asked but have based my questions on feed from August responses.
Good luck.

Louise2288 · 23/11/2020 11:07

Thank you so much for your reply.

I will use Parsley1234 as a guide, thats a great help. I seen somewhere else that someone had put they failed interview in Sept, had interview for Nov and the questions were different and harder so just trying to get a feel for it :)
Thank you for your help & the very best of luck to you :)

Memmy1211 · 24/11/2020 11:32

Hi Louise,
I had my interview yesterday, unfortunately, the questions I prepared for were not what I was asked. I used the questions people had mentioned on this forum back in August.
I wanted to record the interview but unfortunately, I had not charged my phone the cable fell out so it was completely dead. The interwivew questions threw me completely and although I managed to answer some of them, I don't think I did very well. I wish I could remember some the Q's but was so flustered I can't remember a thing. Will have to try again as I believe they will be recruiting again in January 2021.

Good luck for your interview wish I could be of more help.

Louise2288 · 24/11/2020 13:35

Hi Memmy,

I'm sure you did better than you think, thinking on the spot and it may be the best way. I'm doing mine later. Fingers crossed for you.

I have seen these questions:-
Tell us about a time you delivered great customer service.
How would you explain complex information to someone and make sure they understand?
How would you feel about making an important decision if you didn’t have all the information?
Tell me about a time when you dealt with a difficult customer
Tell me about a time when you had conflicting deadlines
Can you give an example of a difficult conversation you had to have with someone, how you went about it and what the outcome was?

These look firmilar?

seen these from September campaign

Memmy1211 · 24/11/2020 19:06

Hi Louise,
No they don't look familiar, but and thank you for the encouragement, but quite frankly, the questions caught me off guard. They seem easy enough to answer until you are put on the spot without prep. Hope your interview went well. I'm crossing my fingers for the new recruitment drive in the new year. Can't seem to add an emoji so X

bluelefant · 28/11/2020 16:05

Just wanted to say I am preparing for the video interview and found stuff in this thread really helpful. Is there anyone here who's done the interview in the latest,November run?
Any other questions rather than the ones mentioned?
Do you need to introduce yourself or is it undesirable to introduce?do I just go straight to answering questions?
I still have a little bit time left and want to prepare better.Decided to postpone till tomorrow even though I was determined to do it today and already sitting here with full make up on...

Jayne777777 · 28/11/2020 16:32

Hi. I have to take the interview this Monday morning but dont have a clue how to answer any questions. Not had an interview in 15 years and wont be able to give many examples. Can anyone help with questions and example answers please. I am desperate.
