Thread 2! Woolly Hugs. Chernobyl 2018 is HERE!!!

You find us busily setting up a new home for our wonderful project. Will be making a special cosy corner for Soupy's poor blind cat - recently blinded by fiesta and her very bright blanket kit Gin

As has been since the first year, this has been an astonishing team effort, folk never fail to amaze. THANK YOU! x

Our first project thread is here.... That was the one where we frantically made SQUARES and some folk made whole blankets, there was a lot of gin and the word characterful was used a lot Grin

On the last thread we reached the dizzying heights of 64/100 absolutely gorgeous finished blankets, so here's hoping this thread sees us through to target...

Ooooo, and this will be the thread where we share the Early Bird 2019 info if anyone has been inspired or just wants to get ahead! Thanks

@Catmint we have finished! I've got a bag of left overs that I'm going to make squares from. Or possibly a Little Hug.

@KnottyAndPistey should I hang on to this and send when C2019 opens or do you want it ASAP?

We officially open our posting in January, but it would be rather lovely to have a first blanket here by then, could you send in December?

Oh wow Spin that pattern is stunning Shock Am I right in remembering that you started crocheting for C2017? You have really mastered it if that is the case.

I managed a Little Hug, a 12" square and a dozen 6" squares from the left over yarn from my blanket. I'll send them all together on 1/12.

Technically I think I started for Candy’s Hugs, but I was doing squares for both!

I really like this pattern too. The geometry is pleasing.

My blanket is ready to go whenever K&P start accepting them and I’ll start some squares at some point.

Re delivery!

We just need to clear the Christmas Snugs - they go the first week of December and obvs get the Christmas craft sale under our belts and then we'd be very happy to receive, although won't be posting pics on FB etc until we have actually launched the project, we can def let you know they are safe though!

Going to set the official date as from Monday 14th January, which is when posting technically restarts for 2019!

Love our Chernob project, Knots and I have been invited to Belarus to visit next April with the Bristol group that would be something

Thank you all for the lovely comments. I will wait to post until the 14th, though be aware that I'm already having to fight of family members (er.... DDs) who are already trying to steal it from under my nose!!!! Bad family, bad.

Colours were primarily magenta, saffron, bluebell, pomegranite, pistachio, violet, emporer, fuschia, ... I have a spreadsheet Blush
