Thread 2! Woolly Hugs. Chernobyl 2018 is HERE!!!

You find us busily setting up a new home for our wonderful project. Will be making a special cosy corner for Soupy's poor blind cat - recently blinded by fiesta and her very bright blanket kit

As has been since the first year, this has been an astonishing team effort, folk never fail to amaze. THANK YOU! x

Our first project thread is here.... That was the one where we frantically made SQUARES and some folk made whole blankets, there was a lot of gin and the word characterful was used a lot

On the last thread we reached the dizzying heights of 64/100 absolutely gorgeous finished blankets, so here's hoping this thread sees us through to target...

Ooooo, and this will be the thread where we share the Early Bird 2019 info if anyone has been inspired or just wants to get ahead!

I don’t know if anyone is interested. But this is a new project with our Mid Suffolk Group. They are very dynamic not just around this time.

Delighted to be introducing a very special Christmas stocking project for sick and disadvantaged children in Belarus. Perfect for those who like to sew, knit, crochet or just go and buy! Lots of specific information, so please do go and have a read. Please note this is in addition to our Christmas Hug project. So thrilled we help these children and spread a lot more love. I'm about to start sewing anyway ( would you believe for WH Christmas sale? ) so will go and dig out the Christmas material I have stashed :)

I would believe! Anything I make for the sale is done during our summer break from WH or I have no chance! My robin garland was made on a flight from Las Vegas to JFK!

For our wonderful Chernobyl children visiting Helpston, Peterborough, our biggest group, (30 children) these their stunning, beautiful blankets, ready to go tomorrow, with all their extras and Hugs for Heads, so delighted to be able to share this, more photos on Facebook!

Thank you SO SO much everyone, what you do is extraordinary, this whole project has proved very humbling as folk never fail to amaze! ❤️

We are all just coming round the final bend!

So the Bristol group - 16 children will receive theirs by hand on July 15th, and the new group of St Ives will receive theirs once all blankets are in, think we have 4 we are waiting for. So we still have those extras and ice cream funds, plus Hugs for Heads too. I can ALMOST see the floor in my utility room! Had to hide all the extras in case my family suddenly thought shampoo etc was for them and helped themselves
