Woolly Hugs...We are making a blanket for diege and her children : Lovely donors and crafters, please, we need your help.

You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that diege's husband died suddenly in June. Mental ill health can be such a devastating illness. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to them. We send diege and their six children our love and are so sorry for their loss.

We are so glad that diege has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them all. There will be love crafted into every stitch. Diege's thread is here if you would like to post condolences

Colours for the blanket - lots of bright, sunshiny colours.In terms of themes, he loved the outdoors. Cycling a passion, also anything to do with fish, trees, plants, mountain climbing in Snowdonia, the seaside (Whitby!) and oddly cacti!
Our initials as follows
Mine : DW. His is J
Then the children...JW, SW, LW, (the girls), then the boys oddly the same - JW, SW, LW.

Thank you thank you thank you. The blanket has arrived and it is so beautiful. The colours and detail are amazing, I am truly touched. I will bring out and show the children on June 10th which is the anniversary of Jonathan's death and I am sure they will take comfort from looking at the designs and recalling the memories that they bring. I am overwhelmed by the love and care that people have shown; we will treasure it forever xxx
