Woolly Hugs...We are making a blanket for diege and her children : Lovely donors and crafters, please, we need your help.

You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that diege's husband died suddenly in June. Mental ill health can be such a devastating illness. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to them. We send diege and their six children our love and are so sorry for their loss.

We are so glad that diege has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them all. There will be love crafted into every stitch. Diege's thread is here if you would like to post condolences

Colours for the blanket - lots of bright, sunshiny colours.In terms of themes, he loved the outdoors. Cycling a passion, also anything to do with fish, trees, plants, mountain climbing in Snowdonia, the seaside (Whitby!) and oddly cacti!

Mine : DW. His is J
Then the children...JW, SW, LW, (the girls), then the boys oddly the same - JW, SW, LW.

so glad it got there, it was a joy to make that square, really tested me but made me realise that tricky things aren't always as tricky as they look!

Bit worried mine haven't arrived, as they were sent on Saturday morning first class

Of course, would help if I said what they were. I had navy and sky blue yarn, with one square of waves, one a sort of shell pattern and two more traditional granny squares. And arrived with no name or other indication because I'm a numpty
