You may have heard the dreadfully sad news that diege's husband died suddenly in June. Mental ill health can be such a devastating illness. Bless his heart. Life has been very cruel to them. We send diege and their six children our love and are so sorry for their loss. Thanks

We are so glad that diege has accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, we hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them all. There will be love crafted into every stitch. Diege's thread is here if you would like to post condolences

So we are now asking for help once again Sad Thanks

We need crocheters, knitters and donors (of funds or wool) Sincere thanks. Thanks

If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread and PM us with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, etc, we can help you with all of it.

Thank you so much Thanks

Colours for the blanket - lots of bright, sunshiny colours. In terms of themes, he loved the outdoors. Cycling a passion, also anything to do with fish, trees, plants, mountain climbing in Snowdonia, the seaside (Whitby!) and oddly cacti!
Our initials as follows
Mine : DW. His is J
Then the children...JW, SW, LW, (the girls), then the boys oddly the same - JW, SW, LW.

Thanks so much - I'm sure whatever the blanket looks like it will be amazing, and I'm so touched.
Many thanks, d x

Bless her heart, we will make something very beautiful for them as a tribute to her fabulous DH.

A lovely donor to thank tonight, Thanks Star

Honestly your donations mean so much, we always want to be inclusive, for everyone to join in if they would like to, and some folk just wouldn't be able to afford to. Your kind donations make it possible, we really are so grateful. Thank you. xx

Thank you for my wool. The postman has just delivered it to me now :)

I've never joined in with this before so sorry for all the questions/if I'm being a bit dim. I want to go some granny squares which I can do in this colour, but then I was thinking about crocheting a fish applique to sew on to one, and possibly some initials.

I don't have any colours of the brands listed - I don't have some white and orange in my personal stash but I think they're just from places like hobby craft and Shaws - not the brands listed. Would they been ok to use to do the extra bits on the squares? Or should I just keep to doing just simple squares?

Thanks
