A Blanket for My5boysandme. Sign up thread for crafters and donors. Can you help us?

With heavy hearts we bring the desperately sad news that My5boysandme has lost her precious baby son Dexter. We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted. My5boysandme sends thanks to all and is very touched by everyone's kindness and compassion. Here is her original thread

So once again we are calling on the Blanketeers for help - whether it be donating, knitting or crocheting. Will you join us?

If you would like to help in anyway, please post on this thread but also PM me so we know. If you are able to donate, I can match you up with a crafter, or give you our donating information. I will co ordinate, match and deal with any admin. Knotty is here to answer any questions you may have. Sincere heartfelt thanks once again

As in the past, for consistency, the wools we are using are:

• Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (NOT the baby cashmerino)
• Rowan Cashsoft DK
• Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK
• Artesano Superwash Merino DK

4mm knitting needles or hooks
6" squares, as simple or as complex as you like.

The Colours
Greens, blues, silvers, dark/warm purple and cream.
If choosing cream, we ask that you go for the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK 013

Wool arrived with me yesterday morning, but as it did so while I was on my way out the door I didn't get a chance to open the parcel until just now. Thanks to my lovely donor for a ball of beautiful deep, dark purple yarn

I arrived home from my weekend away to find a lovely ball of Debbie Bliss waiting for me. I shall spend some time tomorrow converting it into a couple of blankie squares.

Thanks to my donor, lovely denim blue and apple green arrived yesterday. Two squares are finished and will be in the post tomorrow.

Wool has arrived! Thank you to my lovely donor - beautiful bluish-grey. Will get started asap!

Managed to eek 3 squares out of my gorgeous wool and they're on their way. I wasn't sure if I'd have enough for three so went with a different pattern and it ended up a bit wider than the other two. Fingers crossed you can still use it.
