Woolly hugs

Support thread 2 - new blankets

This is a continuation of our thread supporting MNers creating blanket squares for Woolly Hugs. All are welcome and I'm hoping to post a link soon to a collection of our fave patterns, pics and links to keep them all in one place. In the meantime, this new thread will allow phone-based MNers like RedRosie to return from Special Phone Exile where she goes whenever the thread has too many messages on.

This is a thread of peace where knitters and crocheters, donors and crafters are all equally welcome.

I was given a book today by a friend "200 knitted blocks for blankets, throws and afghans" - so watch out knotty - I'm all over it next time! I'm eyeing up the snowflake lace one...

Duplicitous Dave. Must have words.

Do. There is not much worse than a duplicitous donkey called Dave.

By the way Dave is going, if you wait long enough, he'll be with you Pretty.

I have no Dave, no quiche, no cats and no squares to make.

What's a hooker to do?

So Dave the Donkey is 'Call Me' Dave the Prime Minister? That's a bit unexpected. When they said he went out riding with Rebekah Brooks I had a very different picture in mind.

Knots You were very polite to strikethrough the more of an ass bit, I'd totally have lieft that, or possibly bolded it...

I need something to knit for now my squares are finished, else I will lose my momentum.

I think Knotty was maintaining what appeared to be a politically neutral stance, as befits one of our leaders, podd Wink

Now, what kind of thing do you fancy doing next? Baby clothes or a baby blanket are popular choices (admittedly if there is a handy baby around to knit for - my friends/colleagues have produced 6 so far this year) or you can prepare for winter (ironic given the weather change) and crack on with some amazing hats and scarves. Or a cushion cover, or another popular bag choice - windmill.
