Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

Oh go on - send me 2 if you can manage it. DS starts school on Monday so I will only be twiddling my thumbs in between feeds for DD next week!

I can knit, can someone let me know what wool & colours please?

I'm on holiday next week, so probably can't start till I get back on 10th, will that be ok?

Happy to knit or crochet again. I can take 3 or 4 balls worth on if I can be matched to a donor or donors.

Report
Thumbwitch · 31/08/2011 14:20

Georgi - 2 balls of same wool ordered, from the same place so chances are the dye lot will be the same (plus I had everso cunningly ticked "remember me" on the checkout forms so didn't have to retype everything!)
I was going to get a cream ball instead of 2 greens but there wasn't one in stock there, so you have two more balls of green. Hope that's ok :)
And have a Star!

I'll be happy to take on a couple of squares again, if I can be matched to a donor?

So sad that we need so many blankets, but of course count me in. I've run out of wool doing Magic8's squares though, so would appreciate being matched with a donor this time.

I can block a couple of squares tonight, and I have a SAE that Lydia has sent me, so could get them to Pidj quickly if need be.

Knotty I'll PM you.

I'm more than happy to contribute squares for C&G too.

Wow, what a response in just 7 hour!

Don't forget Lydia is getting some from her wholesale rep today - that's the best way to get exactly the right stuff because she's "one of us"

thanks thumbwitch, I am getting quite fond of that green! Second butterfly nearly finished and third won't be far behind - intention being one for each of magic8's blankets but if they don't get spread across the three it isn't a big deal.

Will get cracking asap on next batch.

Ive just had my rep in, ive ordered some more yarn which should be here friday/monday. If anyone does want any let me know, same as last time £3 a ball. Unfortunately i will have to charge postage which is £1.58 for one ball, £1.96 for 2/3 balls. Ive gotta do nursery run so i'll try and post links to the colours ive ordered later x x

I'll knit some squares if I am matched with a donor. Been itching to knit and knowing it's going to something worthy would be great.

Can someone link to the butterfly pattern please? Or PM me the chart if not. I'm sure it's somewhere in the 34 pages of the other thread but I'll get fired if I go looking for it now.
