Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

I can't help making squares for this one I'm afraid, but I think there is enough wool left in the stuff I sent to purple with my Magic8 squares to make another square if she can use it to make a square, and I'm happy to have my squares shared around the blankets in whatever way they can be. I'll ask purple what she thinks when she receives the ones I sent her yesterday.

Please do not apologise for not knitting this time. Methinks you have enough on your plate. Best wishes with your baby, my lovely Smile

Thanks Knotty. I've pm'd purple and see what she says about what there is left. I would happily do some if I could be sure I would have time to do it before the arrival, but you just don't know, and I don't want to let anyone down. Thanks for the best wishes.

I still have one or two (depending on how much one ball yields) to do for magic8's blanket, which I will try to get done today.

How urgently are we trying to do the blanket for baby Erin? If next week is not too late I will have time on my hands then, I will struggle to do any more this week than finish the squares I have already agreed to do.

My DD is four weeks old. I can't even begin to imagine how whatevertheweather feels. Actually I can, and it makes me feel ill. Sad

I can crochet as many squares as possible, I'm waiting for wool for magics blanket but will be able to work on both at the same time.

I'm not a mum but I know what you mean, georgi Sad there are so many tragedies playing out every day, it's comforting to know that we can alleviate a little of the suffering

Heartbreaking news.

I'm in and my knitter songbird should be messaging you pidjin my chick (we've spoken on facebook to sort it).

Thumbwitch · 31/08/2011 12:08

Georgi, if you're happy to pair with me again, I can send you more wool - if I send the same colour, it might help? Would that be ok, then it'll be one less for Knotty to worry about and I still have your details on PM so it's easy.

KnottyLocks · 31/08/2011 12:08

Pinot, do you want to sort out wool with SongBird directly?

Georgimama · 31/08/2011 12:12

That would be great thumbwitch, thank you so much.

Georgi, that's fab - I'll get onto it straight away. Would one more ball do you, or would you like 2? Happy either way. :)

I remember cheeseandgherkins' posting about Scarlett, so so unfair all these losses. I say let's do it.
