Blanket Number 6, please help [sad]

Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

But I am genuinely very happy to take on any admin side to any further blanket making. I have the luxury of time in the day and am actually very organised! So if it comes to it now or in the future, please do take me up on this. I couldn't hook them together, but I could do admin very easily.

Pistey, if you're happy to do the whole thing in a couple of meetups, I'll do the hooking. I'll need you to gather squares, store them and arrange for extra wool for joining/edging, but I'll take care of the technical bit and you can buy me cake

Maybe if we did this, then Knots can concentrate on all the woolly stuff she has ongoing at the moment? She'll be here later and I'm sure she will have a view on all of this!

Yeah, Peachy tipped me off on fb this morning. She's organising a rose, because Chipmonkey's DD was called Sylvie-Rose.

Right them, Miss Piste, off you go and start a thread! Same wool, same size needle/hook, same size square... Gather a list then PM them your address. Decide on a last posting date and we'll try and have it done by Christmas!

Count me in. Please match me up with a donor and I'll get cracking when the wool comes in. I can take a couple of balls of wool - more if you are short of crafters. Are all crochet OK? I only ask because I did some knitted the last couple of times, but the crocheted were quicker to do and I seemed to get more out of the wool.

I saw that Pidj. Someone PMed me about that a little while ago.

Any DK wool can be used for that project. I know we've had offers of wool from people that hasn't be suitable for our projects but would be suitable for that one.

hi pidj the blanket will be fully put together by sat/sun so i can get cracking wioth the border. Did you want all the borders to be the same or different? If simialr can you send me a pic of the ones you've done before so i can work out a knitted versionx x x x
