Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

Pistey is sending you two balls for edging if that helps your decision.

I've done 10 for Magic's blankets and Piste is sending me more wool today that went to her instead of me.

Tis a great thing, this pulling together. Still waiting for a PM from Lydia. I was going to just send the money, but she might be on holiday.

Knotty/Oma, I have ordered some wool myself so if there are more donors than crafter's, i can be left me off.

These blankets make me feel strange. On the one hand there is the excitemment of pulling together to do something lovely and the enjoyment of creating something and on the other the deep wish that it wasn't necessary and a smidgen of guilt at enjoying it.

Hi, ive just got the pm from rips, this is just so sad, obviously im on board with knitting! I have no yarn left but my Debbie Bliss Rep just so happens to be visiting today so depending on how quick the yarn is needed i can see if i can get a discount on the yarn? If this is ok let me know what colours, i have to order bags of ten so i could order a bag of cream, a soft pink, soft purple, and blue that way anyone with wool let over from magic8 will still fit in tone wise. Let me know what people think, she's coming at 1
My heart goes out to whatevertheweather and her family x

Lydia, you Star

We're going with the same palette, so purples, pinks, blues, silvery tones, greens. Anything in that spectram would be marvellous.

Whoremoanee, hold back on your offers I need you as back up on construction if that's ok? Seeing as there's cake no posting involved Star

Thumbwitch contacted me earlier because Cheeseandgherkins lost her daughter last christmas and I'd finding things hard. I'll divert extra squares to her, which gives me 3 blankets to make up.

Knotty. Oma's out for the day

Pidj, I'll crack on with matching then. See Lydia's post above ^^ re wool.

Once my little darlings are back to school, I may have a bit more time to help you with construction. Depends on how the term starts and how my raffle plans go.
