Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

PMs done Smile

Huge thank you to everyone

Thanks to frazzledblob's efforts when we met for coffee rinder's blanket is over half way done. I have 60 squares and need 40 of them to finish off rinders blanket. So hopefully we can get 80 more squares in over the next few weeks for a nice big blanket for blondes!

I'm up for the challenge who's with me?

Me Grin

No idea how many squares are being made for Blondes but we are certainly on the way. Thank you everyone. Have a gold star each.

A big thanks to frazzledblob

And you, Pidj, are a diamond Smile

Have had a quick look at my notes...80 looks promising, although I'm working on very vague calculations here.

Maths not a strong point!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 15/05/2011 11:46

Let me know if you need any more wool sending Knotty, I'd be glad to...

PS Can woolly donors have gold stars too

purplepidjin · 15/05/2011 12:11

Wooly donors get equal gold stars from me. Some people can spare money, some can spare time/skills. I don't discriminate!

Maths not my best either - I have the first 30 of blondes blanket Blush which means 70 more if we're to get to 5x5'

Anyone within an hour or so of southampton, I'm happy to meet up and give access to all my colourful ends of yarn. Coffee and cake may be involved

You're one of us, Piste Grin

Thanks for the offer of more wool. I'll PM you if we need it.

Littlefish · 15/05/2011 12:31

Knotty - of course that's fine. Any idea of any online sites that will deliver quickly? My nearest wool shop doesn't sell Rowan wool, and I don't have time to drive 25 miles to the next nearest one! Where are good wool shops when you need them Smile.

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 12:33

Maths duffers unite. Grin

OK, so we need 70 then. Even better.

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 12:38

Pidj linked to these sites further up the thread:

A bit woolly

Cucumberpatch

No idea about speed of delivery though.

Pidj, what's your experience on this one?

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 12:40

Cafe Knit is another shop folks have used. Again, no idea about speed of delivery.

Maybe phone and ask?

purplepidjin · 15/05/2011 13:03

No idea, I just looked through the suppliers on the wevsite til I found the right stuff. Mine came from john lewis dahling

Blankey for Rindercella is assembled, now I just need to sew up the verticals and crochet the border! Pic is on my personal fb and I'll transfer it to www.facebook.com/mimapants when I get home :)

oooooo marvellous.

(Is that 2 blankets then? Wink)

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 15:24

Quick question...

Any one have or seen a pattern for a 6" knitted or crochet square like this teddy bear or similar.

One of our lovely group, who knows Blondes, would like to add a teddy or two to the blanket.

Anyone able to help? Or even knit one?

purplepidjin · 15/05/2011 15:36

I still need to weave in the ends for edgar then send it

I need to finish the last bits of stitching and do a border for rinders then weave ends and send

Then I can start on the one for blondes

With any luck I can get rinders' ready for edging by this evening

Please can everyone sew in their ends? Its a pita hjob at the best of times and there's 100 squares per blanket - that's 200 for me to sew :(

PrettyCandles · 15/05/2011 15:58

I can knit a square like that. It should translate very easily to our 6"x6" square, with one teddy on the square.

PictureThis · 15/05/2011 16:00

I am very happy to knit a square or two if you need me to.

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 16:34

Oh PrettyCandles, you complete star. That'll be fantastic Smile

PictureThis, thank you, you're in! The wool details are earlier on the thread. If you need a donator, please PM me.

JulesJules · 15/05/2011 17:46

Purple, I haven't sent my squares off yet for Rinders The wool took ages to arrive after I ordered it (all those bloody BHols) and I've had loads of work on.

They will be in the post tomorrow, blocking atm

PictureThis · 15/05/2011 17:55

Could you pm me with the address to send them to, many thanks

purplepidjin · 15/05/2011 18:20

Jules I know it's tricky! I hope you don't mind them being used for blondes instead?
