Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 17:55

Wizzler, lovely to have you on board. Smile

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 17:57

We're using Debbie Bliss Cashmerino or Rowan Cashsoft, both DK.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 13/05/2011 20:24

Knotty have PM'd you. (I hope, I've not done it before!)

firsttimer78 · 13/05/2011 20:32

I can't knit or crochet (wish I could though!) but just wanted to say what a lovely thing this is to do - I feel very touched reading this so sure Blondes will love the time, care and sentiment that goes into the finished article!

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 22:26

Thank you for taking the time to post, firsttimer. Despite what the media would have us all believe, there are indeed some wonderful people around, aren't there? Smile

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 22:26

Shoulders...I got it! PMed you back Smile

nowttakenowt · 13/05/2011 22:57

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 23:01

Thank you Smile

Maybe you'll learn by osmosis if you hang around Grin

smokinaces · 14/05/2011 09:30

Piste, I cant knit - my mum is being roped into helping me! (not that she knows it yet!!)

Secretwishescometrue · 14/05/2011 16:57

hi all, i pm'd you purple and then actually read the thread and saw you gave all the details of tjhe square already, sorry... But i would very much love to do some squares for Blondes. I have loads of wool (doudle knitting yarn acrylic gorgeous emreald green colour washes at 40c and a load of lovely purples and pinks also acrylic machine wash 40) but none of the two specified would it be ok for me to do my squares in them? I dont know why but my green popped straight into my head for it but ye would prefer pinky purply blueys ya? Thank you for the cast on stitches btw im off to start (will just rip off if wool not ok)

PrettyCandles · 14/05/2011 18:17

How do we know whether we've been matched with a wool-donor?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/05/2011 18:44

Knotty will Know

( from a woolly donor )

purplepidjin · 14/05/2011 20:12

Secret, it needs to be the same fibre as everyone else's square otherwise when the blanket is washed, your square will dry at a different rate to everyone else's and the whole thing will warp. Please please wait until we can get a ball of the correct wool to you Shock

PrettyCandles, what RBOTP said Smile

Ordered my wool for my lovely knitter match! I will PM Knottylocks with my request (if possible for the knitter to do) and an alternative option!

Well done to knottylocks for organising this!

Littlefish · 14/05/2011 21:56

Androbbob - I would be happy to knit your squares for you if you want to do a joint WW effort. I quite understand if Knotty already has plans for your wool though. I'm off on holiday in 10 days so would need it quickly though. I'll check this thread tomorrow and order my own wool if your wool has already been allocated.

Secretwishescometrue · 14/05/2011 22:32

i will just turn my started bit into sumit else not to worry il wait till i get the proper wool and send the squares in that, thanks

purplepidjin · 14/05/2011 22:37

Thank you, secretwishes.

Morrrrrrning!

Right, I'm replying to all your PMs at the mo. Smile

PrettyCandles, your wool should be on its way.

KnottyLocks · 15/05/2011 07:14

Littlefish, thanks for your offer. The spare wool I've 'got' is in transit elsewhere so it would be far quicker to order your own, if that's ok.
