Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

There are some more patterns on our parallel thread here They are hookers' ones, I believe Grin

KnottyLocks · 12/05/2011 23:08

Evening, Pidj. How's yer hooking? Grin

KnottyLocks · 12/05/2011 23:09

It's a delicate balancing act, I tell ya.

No pressure, people.

purplepidjin · 12/05/2011 23:19

Off work today, tomorrow and Saturday so will continue on Sunday Grin

I'm not sure hooking while having my hair done tomorrow will be a good idea? Hmm especially as I won't be wearing my glasses...

Give it a miss. Will end up like my crochet attempts otherwise. Not good.

Just a couple to match up first thing tomorrow, once I've had a reply or two. Unless we get any more willing crafty bods.

I think we may have enough

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 12/05/2011 23:41

I'll search my stash tomorrow and see if I have any of the above, if not i'll PM you! I've a feeling that it's all baby cashmerino that I have at the mo. I've got some gorgeous milla mia yarn but that's neither here nor there!

purplepidjin · 12/05/2011 23:44

Thank you, shoulders. Baby cashmerino will do in a pinch, but the idea of keeping the weight etc the same is so it washes and wears evenly...

I'm a knitter and I'd love to do something for Blondes because she's wonderful and amazing and strong and always good at giving me a kick up backside when I fall off the Weight Watchers bandwagon.

Away this weekend, but will go wool and needle shopping on Monday - 4mm needles and 6sq" square, correct?

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 06:48

NoWayNoHow, thank you Smile

I'll add you to the list.

Shoulders, I can get a ball to you if that helps. PM me your address if so. Thanks.

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 07:25

For those who are unsure how to get a 6" square:

Cast on 33 stitches.
Knit 42 rows. (Stitch of your choice)
Measure - if a bit short knit a row or two more.

Most of the patterns for 6" squares say 42-45 rows.

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 07:55

I think I've matched everyone I've got Hmm

PM me if:
you need wool and haven't heard
or have offered to donate but haven't been matched.

I thank you.

As you were.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2011 15:03

Knotty - I think you need a lie down after all that organisation!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2011 15:10

Spam of the Century here

I have found the wool ( tick )
I have chosen a colour ( tick)

Is one ball enough?

purplepidjin · 13/05/2011 15:11

I think she needs chocolate, wine and a massage! That was a mega-marathon of awesomeness Grin

One ball makes around 3 squares with a bit leftover

She is a Top Bird. That's official.

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 15:43

Big bird, more like Grin

One ball is fine, Piste Smile

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 15:54

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 17:05

The words flash and everything. Shed loads of black nylon lace topped with a red bow. Clarsy.

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 17:06

Jules, purple sounds very lovely. ta muchly Smile

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2011 17:07

I went to a proper wool shop just now to see if I could find Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK or the other and the lady was trying to tell me that the one the had was 'exactly the same' and I thought No, Knotty will go Knuts if I get the wrong thing

So, I held firm Knotty and have come home and ordered it online.

And to the lovely person who is talented and going to knit this - it's lovely and baby blue! Knit Knicely as it is for Blondes x

KnottyLocks · 13/05/2011 17:28

She may have been right but we're sticking with what we know.

I'm very proud of your resolve, Piste. Good show, old girl.
