Update on Stand With Maya!

This week I finished writing my seventh witness statement in this case, and we assembled the fifth bundle of evidence. My lawyers wrote their fourth opening statement, and I am preparing to be cross-examined for the third time.
I am claiming for compensation for injury to feelings, aggravated damages, lost earnings and future earnings.
The tribunal will be the same panel as before, and the hearing will be online.
If you would like to watch you should email in advance to [email protected]k_ — the email subject should be PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST - Forstater v CGDE & Ors 2200909/2019 - 21 and 22 March.

I don't think Maya is asking us to get our spades out. Bit late, really, as the hearing is next week.

Maya is a heroine. I admire her and Glinner who put their livelihoods and reputations on the line. Will get a spade out for Glinner, too, who deserves support.

I'll be watching Tribunal Tweets all day today. Is it a bit odd that the CDG witness is new and wasn't working in their HR at the time?

Last night I was thinking, what if we didn't have Maya?

We wouldn't have WORIADS
We wouldn't have Sex Matters
We wouldn't have had the JKR tweet and all that followed
We wouldn't have as many women aware and alive to this

There are women who will go down in history books for this time we are living through now and Maya is one of them. She is a big part of it all. Thank god for Maya and her ovaries of steel.

I'm full of admiration for Maya, four years of fighting unlawful discrimination against her, I'm not sure I would have had the energy.

She's amazing. I am sure this has come at great personal and financial cost and she deserves every penny. And CDG should have it rammed home to them that their 'be kind' policy = unlawful discrimination = a real world financial cost. And so should every other employer. And insurer. And employment lawyer. Because, frankly, impact on the bottom line is what businesses really care about and things won't change unless there is financial hurt involved.
