From X:

"Matt Rattley, a non-stipendiary biochemistry lecturer at Oxford's St Hilda’s College and part-time in the Department of Biochemistry, shared recent photos of himself wearing noticeable prosthetic breasts while teaching. Critics raise concerns about the impact on students, including young female GCSE and A-level tutees and women at the historic women’s college, with some academics like Professor Michael Biggs suggesting it could create a degrading environment or even amount to sexual harassment. Oxford University emphasizes maintaining professional standards and respect for students while fostering inclusivity, but declines to comment on individual cases. The situation highlights ongoing discussions over personal expression versus workplace expectations in education."

Of course it's sexual harassment. I'd go as far as to say it's assault - forcing women to participate in his fetish without their consent. Women and girls - he also tutors A level and GCSE students.

I am so sick of these men and their perversions being forced on us, and if we do not consent we're the bad guys. Just, no. Enough.

I wonder the same.

I don't know if it helps any but on Oxford University's website they refer to him as Mr Matt Rattley. Funnily enough he's one of the few people for whom they've not included a photograph.

Ah, so he doesn't even have a PhD.

MChem apparently.

Looks like his will take you anywhere apparently. No need for a PhD.

He uses they/them pronouns and is called Mr on the uni website - he doesn't seem to be a trans woman

And if he did I should imagine he'd get the door shut on him by many. I certainly wouldn't let a man presenting like that over the threshold at all, let alone into a house behind a closed door with me alone. And I'd absolutely be ringing British Gas (or whoever) to say that if they sent him again I'd be changing supplier. There would be an outcome the company wouldn't like, so he'd either not be employed in the first place if he insisted on presenting like that, or he'd be told he couldn't dress like that while working.

Interesting that the 'defence' here is either "There has to be more to it in order to explain this away" or "No-one is defending him so why are you getting het up?" Hmm

“I’d be changing supplier” made me laugh 😂😂

Datun · Today 14:34

You really know entered clown world when a man with giant comedy breasts goes to teach in a university, and not only is he taken seriously, he's protected.

Personally I would imagine those protecting him are just as creepy.

What's really, really bad and an absolutely disgusting indictment on Oxford University is that they are willingly exposing their students to this sexual harassment.

He has the classic AGP smirk.

It came out of a cracker along with his bosoms.

AlecTrevelyan006 · Today 14:35

Aside from the fake breasts, his beard looks ridiculous

RedSpotTeaPot · Today 14:45

Totally agree. The beard is preposterous. It's like a regular beard up to a point and then it peters out into a poor attempt at growing his own chiffon scarf.

Certainly out of the ordinary then. Would be interested what the story is but it's also none of my business. Like I said, dress a bit too revealing for a professional setting but if this lecturer actually had bad vibes, the reviews would've reflected it.

He's not "revealing" anything (except his fetish) those are not a part of his actual body. It's a costume.

CriticalCondition · Today 15:33

Ostensibly a group for people who want to dress up as furry animals but there are apparently those who ‘identify’ as animals and a further subdivision for whom it’s all about kinky sex involving their tails.
I had never heard of them until a couple of years ago when we were on holiday in Prague and saw a parade of Furries through the city, my son explained who they were.

I've been watching old episodes of ER. There's one from about 2000 in which a couple of furries attending a convention in costume get brought into hospital for emergency treatment. One of the experienced 'I've seen it all' doctors explains the fetish aspect to a naive colleague who is disbelieving. A child's soft toy later goes missing and the naive doctor finds one of the furries masturbating with it under the bedclothes on a trolley.

It seems it's been around for a long time.

The thing that gets me is how many of these men there are now.
It seems as if the moment Stonewall et al legitimised this behaviour with their spurious Trans Umbrella and TWAW, suddenly thousands of these guys popped up like mushrooms after a rainstorm.
Were they all just living ordinary lives under the radar but secretly dying to pop on a bra and some high heels and change their name to Cindy or Brenda?
Where were they all before 2015?
I know we had transvestites but not in these numbers and not claiming to be actual women and barging into women's single sex spaces, services and sports.
And it feels like there are more every week.
Just how many men have been wanting to do this for years and we never knew? How many more are there out there who haven't come out yet? It's creepy.

or a Boob of a Man in Oxford.

fartoomuchtoblerone · Today 17:47

Shame on the university for letting him use his students to get his kicks. It absolutely is sexual harassment.

Never in 20 years in academia have I seen an actual female colleague dress like this, nor would anyone think it would be appropriate if they did.

Igmum · Today 17:52

Absolutely fart. If I went into lectures wearing those giant boobs I think someone would have a word pretty damn sharpish. If he’s a non-stipendiary he may well be doing a DPhil so he’s hardly terrifyingly high in the academic hierarchy for staff. Why on earth aren’t they saying something? Have they no interest in safeguarding the unconsenting young women he is using for titillation?

SwirlyGates · Today 18:15

Maybe the students should all turn up wearing similar fake boobs. And big beards, even if they're women. I don't see how Oxford Boob Man or the uni could complain about it.

Perfectly said. Its sickening that now we are forced to see men like that whether we consent or not. Its obviously a sexual fetish.

No one dares to complain about this type of thing so no one would leave bad reviews.

We would be rolling around the floor howling with laughter 😃 😀

IwantToRetire · Today 18:40

I think it really shows just how insane the subservient posture of so many to the TRAs has allowed this situation to to become "normalised".

You would think any self respecting "gender warrior" would not want what is a pantomime performance to the the public face of gender non conforming or fluid or whatever.

If it was a silly student prank it would make more sense.

But this is an adult male, in a position of power over young people AND at a prestige university.

Which is validating this exhibitionism.

Part of me would love to find out in years to come this was all a prank to show just how far you can go thanks to TRAs, and not be held to account.

Sadly in the meantime young people, are being disrespected.

I did see somewhere that some of the young women who are first year students are asking parents what can be done.

But Oxford University is making itself a complete idiot.

If a load of women did turn up in fake beards I wonder what would happen.
