Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

The sacrificial lamb: Transsexual "Louise" blames transgenders and GCs for everything. Oh, and also the Government. And the NHS. And gender clinics. And GRCs. And possibly my dog.

Well, this is odd: a strange blog from Nick Wallis, written almost entirely by a "transsexual" (self-termed) person called Louise.

I wouldn't even know where to start to respond to such hyperbole, but the comments by Jennifer Gourley, in the Comments section, say pretty much everything I could think of.

One small quote from "Louise" (it's a pseudonym) sums it up:

"So you see we’re the little guy in the middle being shot at by both sides. The sacrificial lamb in somebody else’s war."

The "little guy" would be transsexuals. Or something.

A transsexual writes…

Over the past couple of years I’ve been corresponding with a couple of older male transsexuals. They are courteous types who have watched in horror at what they see as the politicisation of t…

Imagine any other area of humanity where surgery, hormones, aesthetic procedures and critically winning over activism and thence public opinion could be used to make the illusion of a change into societally accepted reality?
Race/color, where skin color changes and a back story of racist abuse, cultural identification (see Rachel Dolezal) etc could mean you "become" black.
Being an adult, where extreme PBs use could keep you an eternal "teen"/Peter Pan type, and society would see you as such.
Being disabled, where voluntary amputation would put you into the category of needing assistance all your life.
Would we really be expected to see these individuals, many sad, many manipulative, as the category they say they are/have become? And in the case of sex/gender, would we be expected to do the same, or as we do now see dysphoria and mental distress, plus overweening male entitlement, and a sub category of females so unhappy with their bodies, and refuse to see a change that makes the subject feel they inhabit inhabit another sex, but we know to be irrational.
Whites to blacks, adults to children, abled to disabled, these are all irrationalities. As is one sex to another.
Whatever sad sack stories would like us to, indeed insist on us, seeing things their way.

Lots of trans identifying men have posted here over the years claiming to be oblivious to the problems.

Now they are saying that its other trans identifying men who are the problem. But they don't see it or experience it themselves, otherwise they'd have spotted it years before.

So they aren't experiencing these spaces in the same way women and girls are. They arent bothered about the 'not genuine' trans identifying man unless he becomes a problem for inclusion.

Seriestwo · 16/09/2026 12:51

These men that think they “woman” better than me because my tits sag and my fanny is hairy and I’m not always willing to have sex bore me rigid.

Louise reminds me of Brianna Wu, willing to throw any other trans identified man under the bus as long as they get to do what they want. I've seen Wu saying that he deserves to be treated as a woman because he's put the effort in.

Similar to Buck Angel who says she recognises she's female but still thinks she should be treated as a man because she has put the effort in and is a real old school transsexual

‘Putting in the work’ does seem to crop up again and again in trans discourse, to the point where not having to put in any work at all is one of the things some TIMs most resent about women. They assume they deserve all the things just because they’ve put a bit of effort into how they present themselves (with very mixed results), when the opposite is true, if you have to graft at being a women its only because you’re not a woman at all.

MarcTheGenderSkeptic · 16/09/2026 13:41

Whoops, must be more careful with my wording.
What a phenomenon transgender ideology is. Ruins the lives of women and kids, and even the hardcore paraphiliacs like Louise here find it toxic and counterproductive to their needs

There are a lot more comments under the blog now than there were when I first posted. Most responses are ... unsympathetic. It's very clear, at least for those who know about and read Nick's blog, that most people have run out of any amount of sympathy they might once have had. "Louise" is not doing himself any favors with his ranting and (what I see it as) self-pity. But, it's also very clear how much damage and overreach has been done by trans activists. Once ordinary people (meaning, not politicians, activists, or those with something to gain) really start to understand the issues and what women are up against, any support just falls away.

I was extra polite. 🙂

Either a naive or disingenuous question.

The whole bloody article was about his attempt to be a woman for goodness sake! Yet he could not bear to say the word to refer to our biology. He reduced us to the phrase The GC throughout a very lengthy article to try and minimise the value of women's very valid concerns. Because he could not bear to recognise who we are and that he will never be.

Othering. See also The Second Sex.

Edited

See also the 'female eunuch'. Greer recognised in 1970something that 'femininity' was a sort of third category that had virtually nothign to do with actual women. She talks about drag queens and transexuals wearing femininity as a costume, etc.

Nick has now put another post up from a gender clinician. Its worth a read.

ArabellaScott · 16/09/2026 13:58

As for the blog - it's always useful to have sunlight and Operation Let Them Speak is excellently informative.

Personally I have lost interest in hearing about solipsist men complain about how hard done by they are.

It won't ever be enough, because pretending to change sex is not going to fix their problems. TBH I think that the impossibility of it is why many people chase it. Deep down, they are addicted to the pursuit of the impossible.

I recall reading the story of a man who had very tragically lost his son, who decided he was trans and had quite a lot of surgery, but stopped on the brink of SRS and realised it was a trauma response. That man I had real empathy for.

Indeed, the dysphorics come in, knowing what they want.
The therapists have what they want.
What they want is given to them.
The team pat each other on the back, congratulations all round on what a great job they've done.
But not every therapist feels this way, as per that blog.

New interview up today from Nick Wallis on his Gender Blog

https://genderblog.net/former-gender-clinician-its-pseudo-medicine/

The anon clinician says 2016 as a high point in referrals. I'll freely admit I only came to this story in that year, although obviously aware of transvestisism from the 70s onwards. If 2016 was a year of maximal referrals, does this mean teens were presenting in large numbers for the whole of the 2000s and 2010s?
Or did numbers explode around the Great Awokening 2013/14?

It seems like prescriptions on demand, if the GP has stopped his medication there's a medical reason for it, Louise wants what he wants and the GP is just supposed to give it to him.
I consider the article to be part of balanced reporting, NW has written articles about the subject and he's giving someone a platform to put a view from the other side. Character assassination is a big part of the TRA's toolbox, if you can't kill the message then kill the messenger.

In all fairness, sometimes it isn't due to a specific medical or clinical reason. There have been disputes between primary and secondary care regarding what are called shared care agreements. Under such an agreement, a secondary care provider (specialist) writes to a GP (primary care) with advice and guidance and the GP then prescribes the drug and is responsible for monitoring.

For many years this is how it has worked for transition related 'care'. However, GPs have pointed out that they are not properly funded for this, and some of them feel they lack the expertise to manage this 'treatment' even with specialist advice. Furthermore, many gender clinics discharge patients after they have had surgery and so GPs are left to administer and monitor medications alone.

As such, some GPs have now withdrawn shared care agreements and referred patients back to gender identity clinics. However, the waiting list is very long for those clinics and they have limited resources and ability to administer and monitor medication. Furthermore they are few in numbers and some patients travel many miles to attend appointments there, and it would be entirely impractical for them to have to access regular medication this way.

However, this is not a problem unique to trans-identified patients, it also has affected things like medication for ADHD. It's not political or being pushed by GCs, it's a question of disagreement regarding funding and responsible between primary and secondary care.

@MarcTheGenderSkeptic I was still working in education around the 2014/15/16 and there was a real push by Stonewall to promote various genders in schools. Will try and find the promo stuff. Definitely that plus the internet saw girls in my experience suddenly present as boys. I wasn’t senior so when senior leaders just told us to go along with it I think many of us assumed it was a phase. They were usually around the 13/14 age group, definitely lacking in confidence and most likely autistic. Once one did this then the floodgates opened. The problem in education settings is the terms are busy, exam results matter and whilst safeguarding is in place seeing a girl who was miserable now smile and being popular and getting attention was seen as a quick fix.

It has all been a perfect storm and the language used really matters. All affirming, all about suicide if adults question. And now we are where we are.

Sadly, that sounds very true. Transgender ideology sneaked through because it was all too plausible, gave quick answers, was non judgemental, and just so kind.
As you say, who wouldn't want to see an autistic girl smile again?
And once one girl smiles, that spreads thru the culture.
I bet very few are smiling a decade on...

What a self indulgent, woe is me piece. The idea that a gender identity clinic wouldn't know anything about or understand transsexual patients is laughable. He really thinks he's some special creature, elevated above the mundane transgender person.

I have some empathy regarding treatment issues with the GP. I know there have been issues with patients who are post-operative and many years into 'transition', having had their care taken over by GPs who are now withdrawing it due to funding and shared care disputes. These patients don't produce any sex hormones of their own and it isn't acceptable to leave them that way and risk osteoporosis. Obviously it would be far healthier to have appropriate sex hormones but I also realistically know that isn't a battle that GPs are going to win. At the end of the day, someone who has already been through the waiting list and gender clinic pathway and is long established on treatment shouldn't be having this withdrawn with little warning.

The moaning about the Supreme Court ruling is predictable. I have no sympathy. None of these men belong in female single sex space. I'm perfectly happy to see service providers add additional unisex facilities but under no circumstances should they be using the women's. He also repeats the mistruth that the supreme court didn't fully consider or listen to the trans 'side'.

There is also a complete mischaracterisation of the GC position. GC is a broad church and has many positions in a spectrum. Most of us are not campaigning to remove civil rights from trans-identified people, or trying to control their medical choices. We simply wish to see women's rights upheld. We aren't responsible for issues relating to transgender care, which is entirely down to a lack of good quality evidence and funding/responsibility disputes between primary and secondary care.
This part I agree with fully:
'The NHS diagnosed me. The NHS operated on me. And the NHS medicalised me. Thus they have a duty of care'
But he is placing blame at the wrong door. GCs are not responsible for this, the NHS is. Neither is it a political decision but a clinical and funding one.

I agree that there are a lot of different groups classed under the terms 'trans' and not all should be conflated. But the pretence that a man is rendered risk free and docile by possessing a GRC or having his penis amputated is a farce. Sarah Jane Baker is post-operative, even having amputated his own testicles. It doesn't render him any less misogynistic, violent or dangerous. Claiming that concerns regarding the safety of women and children is simple bigotry is lazy and underhanded. Comparing us to Nazis like Dr Goebbels is typical of the trans activists this man supposedly decries. Claiming that denying men access to women's toilets is extermination is a similarly ludicrous and outrageous claim.

Amazing, just amazing
34 pages, and the whole emphasis is the T of LGBT. Not a single chapter on LGB.
A political project, pure and simple. Societal and institutional capture the aim, kindness as a cudgel, an iron fist in a velvet glove.
And a decade ago, who was brave enough to say "hang on a minute...", let alone "no, actually"?
Maybe Julie Bindel and Germaine Greer.
Tbh, as a normie in 2016, getting my news from the BBC and Guardian, assuming the final frontier on sexual rights was passed with same sex marriage, a blissfully unaware middle class male was me, not the slightest idea this was all happening.
I'm just curious now as to whether the spark to all this was purely Stonewall weaponising same sex marriage legislation to kick open the door, or whether there was a critical mass developing for years, especially re burgeoning referrals to the likes of The Tavistock?

BlueLegume · 16/09/2026 15:54

@MarcTheGenderSkeptic IMO - it all came down to funding - or rather funding drying up after the success of same sex marriage - a well fought and deserved win. The fight was won.

Ruth Hunt is now in the House of Lords.

Sadly much of the success of the gays and lesbians was then hijacked by the T plus brigade - I make no apology for that term. It is all pushing boundaries and challenging the traditional family all neatly wrapped up in the #BeKind movement. We complied and now if we raise our heads over concerns we are transphobic and similarly if we raise concerns about Islam we are deemed to be Islamophobic.

Two huge Trojan Horses pushed into society with people showing concerns being made to listen to linguistic gymnastics to accept these huge societal changes. Families broken by having to accept the lie that is trans.

And there it is. Truth and reality smashed apart under the guise of #BeKind

ArabellaScott · 16/09/2026 15:54

Anna describes a fairly bleak meeting she had outside the clinic with a senior person at her NHS Trust. “I was in tears. I was saying, “look, there’s all these vulnerable people. We’re castrating them as a treatment option. We’re not thinking about it properly. It’s so wrong.” And he said, “I agree with every word you’re saying, but what you don’t understand is that the gender clinic bankrolls the mental health services in this Trust*. It brings in a lot of money for the Trust.”

Fucking, fucking, hell.

ArabellaScott · 16/09/2026 15:55

Tawdry, dull thud of prosaic reality.

It's a growth industry.

Especially weird because GC stands for Gender Critical not Gender Stereotypical, which is what he is with his idea of what a woman is.
