Younger generations being pro trans

PeachyDaisy · 10/04/2026 05:22

I know many are saying the trans debate is over, but I think it has only just begun. And the reason is the younger generation. Studies show young people are the most supportive of transwomen going into women's spaces amongst all groups. In 20 years, these people will be in positions of power making decisions where they can enact their beliefs.

Also most of the western world has fallen to trans ideology (which activists will use as credibility for their ideology). I don't buy the argument that as long as it is just in EU/Australia/CA/ NZ then it is contained.

Having the laws on our side and sex matters fighting is great, but it feels like little consolation if we have to spend the next 50 years constantly in a court room suing organisations as they continue to to flaunt the law. It is like wack a mole, you stop one stop one organisation from doing it whilst another one pops up.

Given that TW want to get into womens spaces then yes you are saying I am ok with letting TW into women's spaces (or that at least I am no longer objecting to it).

Again, it was an incredibly rude thing to say and just a downright lie as I have never said I was ok with TW in women's spaces. I'm only making a point of it because I'm tired of people lying about things I never said or making nasty accusations on some kind of purity testing witch hunt they have going on.

You know, I was happy to apologise and leave it but you have doubled down and called me, or at least "people" of whom you imply I am one, a liar when as your own post quotes, I did not say you you said you were happy to allow this to happen.

In fact I said you said you were despairing - literally the opposite of happy.

You are rapidly losing any moral high ground here. I suggest you stop digging.

Well you said I was prone to despairing and giving up and letting TW have what they want. That is a completely untrue. I have never ever said anything about giving up the fight and just "letting TW have what they want". In fact, I am an active member of the women's rights network in Australia fighting hard for women's spaces.

I am only on this toxic board because I was kicked off reddit for being gender critical (I can send you a screenshot if you need to see my GC credientials).

You started this by targeting me by name with claims about my character, you didn't need to attack me (I've never mentioned you before). I appreciate your apology but frankly I would rather this be done.

I'm an ex teacher too...but I'm still not sure if you are referring to a particular group of children?

i don't think it is the kids that push trans ideology, I think it is the activist teachers ( of which there many) and their own 'right on' parents ( Jolyon Maugham, several Labour MPs etc); as well as on line groups and influencers.

Edited

I find it a little sad if adolescents are believing in a brainwashed and uncritical way what their teachers tell them.

I don't think anyone my age did that! We used to joke that the way to make some ideology unpopular was for it to be forced on us at school and that Mein Kampf ought to be a set-book so nobody ever wanted to read it nor took what it had to say seriously.

And if a teacher had tried to push an ideological line at us we'd've said "yes miss" or "yes sir" and paid not the blindest notice to them.

My mid 20s child university education is full on TWAW my 18 year old is full on penis = male no your not a lesbian with a lady dick your a man! My youngest has zero clues about any of it and would probably cluck like a chicken if asked

I think the shine is dulling in my local area we had many many "trans" children who are now 18 and suddenly its not cool anymore when they go to college and work its just too much effort one girl was a boy when it suited her college knocked that out of her she tried the whole im non binary no-one cared its hard to be a cool kid when there are cooler kids around

I don't think this is the place for you, @PeachyDaisy As for Bitch I don't need your support. You can get fucked for all i care - if you came here for debate, that's not it and you're the one who's toxic.

Hi all

Just a reminder... If a thread isn't for you, there's no obligation to read it or post on it - just scroll on by.

We've had to remove a number of posts, so we're hoping that the thread can stay on track from here.

I’m not sure whether anyone noticed this post, but I think this thread is in danger of being removed.

This might be a good time not to get carried off chasing scurrying gerbils (or squirrels).

I think people need to let this go. OP felt attacked and responded with a harsh post. She immediately edited it to remove it and later apologised for it. We’ve all done and said things when cornered and she tried to remedy it, but for some reason it has been resurrected and shoved down her throat several times. Doing that has just inflamed the situation.

There have misunderstandings on multiple sides over individual motivations and where they stand. There are clearly hemispherical differences (OP is in Aus, we are mainly here in the UK) that mean we are seeing the issue at different stages of its evolution.

Many people on this thread are quick to point out that the TRA’s are the ones who throw abuse and names - but this is being done here, between a group of women who have forgotten that we are all allied in many of the same goals: of trying to push back against the pernicious creep of gender ideology, as that term is currently understood; the intrusion of men no matter how they identify into our spaces; the erosions of the rights and protections of women and girls; and the protection of vulnerable young people and children who may be autistic, gay or have other vulnerabilities that have been manipulated by a cynical and self-serving movement.

That is what we need to focus on. And in this space we help scaffold other women/parents who are trying to understand and navigate this - we can’t do this if we are hostile to each other and not willing to draw a line under misunderstandings and disputes.

So a plea: please can we just draw a line here and be there incredibly supportive forum I have come to rely upon, where incredibly well educated and informed posters ( @Helleofabore 🥰) who take the time to post and share research and links that can help newbies and the permanently confused [moi] to a better informed space.

That is what we do best. Please let’s support and lift each other up, not tear each other down. 🙏

It depends on the individual child and on their age imagine. Younger children are more susceptible to believing what their teacher tells them, whereas many teenagers might well ( and do) roll their eyes when their teacher is clearly trying to push a political agenda. But not all.

’Give me a girl at an impressionable age and she is mine forever.’

Muriel Sparks, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie

Which, looking at it now, was a prophetic novel about the destructive influence of teachers and one we might have taken lessons from. See also Dead Poets Society.

We've known for decades that charismatic teachers, when left unchecked, are powerful influencers.

Yes, teachers can be powerful influencers for good - if they stick to their subject and to the overall encouragement of a child's natural talent or ability - less so when pushing political agendas that they should not be.

One of my primary-age children wouldn't believe me over the teacher on an obvious factual issue... DC had spelt a word incorrectly in a spelling book (and differently, 3 times 😂) and the teacher ticked all 3 as correct! I told DC that these were wrong, and tried to show them the word in the dictionary, but they wouldn't listen to me or look at the dictionary as "teacher ticked all my spellings".
