Transgender hate on mum's net

1000 replies

Steph2002 · 08/04/2026 13:30

I'm just wondering, I see so much hate on here about transgender woman and not a lot about transgender men. Does everyone on mum's net hate Transgender women and if so why? I don't mind sharing a toilet space with a transgender woman in fact my best friend is a transgender woman and she is the nicest person you could ever wish to meet and will protect any woman no matter where they are. I would hate to be sharing a toilet with a hairy masculine transgender man, which seems the way people want to go why? Am I the only person on here that supports trans gender women, if so I need to leave. How many people that hate Transgender women have actually met one and had issues with one I'd love to know.

Thank you I totally agree the only issues I've encountered are from cis men

How do you know they’re not trans?

HermioneWeasley · 08/04/2026 16:13

amibeingaknob · 08/04/2026 15:57

Why are kim and laverne different to the others? genuine question.

Well Laverne was campaigning to have a child rapist and murderer moved to a women’s prison to align with his identity and not everyone has the balls to do that

The most irritating thing about this thread is the rogue apostrophe in the title.

Educate yourself. Do better, @Steph2002

I did love it when the TRAs and handmaidens said educate yourself, and we did. That went well....

Parcell · 08/04/2026 13:43

It’s not really about toilets though is it. It’s about men forcing their way into women’s spaces generally.

Especially their prizes (eg sport), podiums (eg female authors etc) and reserved places (eg politics, women only shortlists). The chaps sure know how to thrust themselves to the fore, whatever they’re wearing and however they’re identifying.

Forresty · 08/04/2026 16:07

Is this a joke answer? Sarcasm?

Sure, women are definitely going to kick off when there's a man in the Ladies with them 🤔 Or, are they just going to get out of there as quickly as possible, and not complain, because someone might call them a "bigot" and possibly threaten their career?

Thank god those days are ending.

Or maybe you just don’t realise.

I literally know trans women in their 70s who I have used bathrooms with over may years and not been side eyed or kicked out
yet I have been ‘accused’ of being a man by several transphobes despite the fact I am short, fairly feminine, not at all masculine looking.
go figure

Yeah, course you have

MightyDandelionEsq · 08/04/2026 16:15

KaleidoscopeSmile · 08/04/2026 16:12

Is that it - is that all you're going to respond to after multiple pages of comments?

Genuinely, what was the effing point of your thread?

I'll repeat myself till I'm blue in the face: you lot defending men in women's space are either men's rights activists or handmaidens. You don't have any other type.

And stop pretending that you think than transwomen are men because I don't believe for one single second that you do.

They’re more Aunt Lydia’s forcing the rest of us to be handmaidens for the men.

SparklyOliveSwan · 08/04/2026 16:11

Proof?

"Based on a 2019 review, genital surgery as part of medical transition is generally less common than chest surgery, with reported rates of 25–50% for transmen (natal females) and 5–10% for transwomen (natal males). These estimates come from a range of surveys and clinical reports."

How exactly am I giving away women’s rights?

Women have a right to single sex spaces, including toilets. Because you’re happy to pee with men, doesn’t mean other women are. And women’s toilets aren’t just about peeing - they are a safe space away from the male gaze where women can adjust their clothing, deal with messy periods, take off a hijab, hide from a man who may be pestering them, and so on. Any trans identifying males who use the ladies’ are transgressing a boundary. Not many of them pass, but some of them think they do because they don’t get challenged- this is mostly because women don’t tend to call out males and the danger that might bring, so they say nothing. If they do pass (again, rare) they are still transgressing and turning the ladies’ into a mixed sex space.

I also don't hate transgender people. I also would rather share a bathroom with a transgender woman, rather than a transgender man. I think there are just a lot of keyboard warriors full of hate here. Any thread has a certain amount of "advice" that's basically just so horrible and off topic that it should be ignored. My guess, even though 1% of the population are psychopaths I'm sure 5% of the posts here are from psychopaths.

"Women standing up for their rights must be psychopaths, amirite?" 🙄

It's a fairly high number, not sure if 90% but you could google it yourself?

Otterloverfrenchielady · 08/04/2026 16:15

Yes, that will be it. They all pass, dontcha know? And we women are notoriously bad at spotting threats.

How are you defining 'a transgender woman'?

Steph2002 · 08/04/2026 16:17

Thebigarsedbitch · 08/04/2026 16:08

There is no such thing as 'cis'. It's a term
Invented by trans activists to support their ridiculous claim that there are multiple different genders, when science proves that sex is binary and anything else is a just a delusion pedalled by those who hold retrogressive views about sexual sterotypes.
.

The term cis, I think you will now find it's now part of the English language and in the Oxford dictionary

Women saying “no” isn’t hate

women insisting on their existing rights under the equality act, isn’t hate.

Frazerblazer · 08/04/2026 16:18

Please could you define hate for transgender women?

You brought up the toilet issue so I’ll respond to that.

I don’t hate men however they identify, whether they think they are a man or think they are a woman. Whether they are gay or straight or whether they are wearing a sarong or trousers. I don’t hate any of them.

But I do not want to share a communal (normal stall type toilet) with any of them.

Q. Why do we have segregated toilet facilities?

A. Firstly because male and female bodies are different.
Men, can use urinals women can't
Women need more cubicles
Women need sanitary bins, men don't
AND because men a sex class pose a risk to women.

Kiminki · 08/04/2026 16:18

Otterloverfrenchielady · 08/04/2026 15:59

How do you establish this? Security guards checking our vaginas when we enter?

So you are saying men who identify as women routinely break the law, ignore women’s rights and invade spaces they should not be in?

If we have to put measures in place because you think these men operate outside the law and ignore boundaries and women’s rights then I guess we could always use a basic camera and app a bit like Giggle used in Australia. Together with hefty fines for men breaking the law in this way, followed by court injunction for persistent offenders that would make it a criminal offence should he try again. If the man is ignoring the law and harassing women like this in his place of work then clearly he should be sacked.

Those cubicles are the safe space
are you campaigning for single sex disabled facilities, or in your world do these rights only count for abled bodied people, or in fact, is it actually not taking anything away from women
i don’t whip out my tampon by the sinks, do you?

fabstraction · 08/04/2026 16:19

🙄I'd suggest reading some threads and making your decision about whether or not to stay on MN based on that. If you don't feel comfortable seeing people expressing opinions different to your own, you'll probably struggle with the Internet in general, not just MN.

Which actually pisses me off. All my life I have been a woman. Now I am a cis woman in order to cater to men.

So is the word female.

ArtAngel · 08/04/2026 16:19

I don’t hate transgender people.

Peolle are free and welcome to live lives gendered as they please, and I would defend their right to do so free from discrimination.

As trans people.

But women’s rights are sex based rights and I do not believe people can change sex.

Doesn’t affect much: no Transwomen in women’s sport, the right for women to reserve rape support services as women only where they choose to do so (but of course a charity may wish to establish a mixed service- fine) , and toilets in public venues.

Because I think women are women and Transwomen are Transwomen does not mean I hate them.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 08/04/2026 16:19

I'm not anti trans but I will say that trans men aren't experienced the same

Trans men will never be any kind of threat to men. Mens lives do not change one iota by a transman being there.

A transman isnt going to outrun Usain Bolt or outbox Tyson Fury.

For women, we have to 'make space' for transwomen, which is the difference

That said, i'm not arsed. I'd rather make a bit of space than a transwoman have to sell herself on the streets as shes not accepted.

murasaki · 08/04/2026 16:19

@Steph2002 , please tell us what defines a woman. Then maybe we can have a more constructive conversation.
