Transgender hate on mum's net

1000 replies

Steph2002 · 08/04/2026 13:30

I'm just wondering, I see so much hate on here about transgender woman and not a lot about transgender men. Does everyone on mum's net hate Transgender women and if so why? I don't mind sharing a toilet space with a transgender woman in fact my best friend is a transgender woman and she is the nicest person you could ever wish to meet and will protect any woman no matter where they are. I would hate to be sharing a toilet with a hairy masculine transgender man, which seems the way people want to go why? Am I the only person on here that supports trans gender women, if so I need to leave. How many people that hate Transgender women have actually met one and had issues with one I'd love to know.

You see this is precisely the problem as a man on oestrogen and T blockers can't be a sexual predator as they have no sex drive, this is the sort of misinformation that's causing the trouble.

Really. So the percentage of transwomen in jail for sexual assault/rape didn't happen? The stats were posted earlier.

mattala · 08/04/2026 15:48

i am a bit of a nutter with online safety. I use Mumsnet on and off constantly changing my username every few days to avoid identification.

one thing that does get old and I see often is that you’ll be discussing one thing and people will try to make it about single sex spaces and trans rights and then this puts people people off getting involved in the milder end of stuff. People are very nice if you say you haven’t formed an opinion or if you’re unsure but you have to openly declare peace to chat lol

A true Transgender women won't be hairy or masculine. I totally agree that men in dresses should be banned but they aren't transgender.

Some women are hairy and masculine but are still women. A man in a dress whether hairy/not hairy or masculine/effeminate is still a man in a dress. It’s not hateful to say that and it’s not hateful to say I don’t want them in female only spaces where myself and other women, children and young girls are in a vulnerable position

MassiveWordSalad · 08/04/2026 15:30

@MajorProcrastination I’m so sorry to hear about your history of sexual assault. I’ve been there and can empathise.

How would you feel if you found out one of the men who assaulted you now calls himself Sally, wears women’s clothes, and gets changed in the women’s changing rooms? Sally most likely hasn’t had any surgery, as the majority of trans-identifying men don’t, so he still has his penis. As well as their penises, they also keep their propensity for committing sexual offences - identifying as a woman doesn’t make that magically disappear, either. If we allow trans women into women’s spaces, that includes Sally too - would you be ok with that?

Why are you making things up? I know who the man is and he doesn't call himself Sally because he's a man who was born a boy and lives his life as a man.

What a weird place for your head to go.

I'm assuming that's bollocks, but even if its not, you don't need a sex drive to be a sexual predator. Sexual abuse is about violence, control, and power. You don't need a sex drive to be a twisted fuck.

Not all transwomen take the drugs.

So you would prefer a beefy, masculine, hair trans man in the toilets with you?

As opposed to a beefy, masculine, hairy man?

They are women so yes. 'Beefy' or not.

SockPlant · 08/04/2026 15:49

The issue of trans men seems to be avoided as they don't fit the narrative on here of all trans people being perverts who only transition so they can get in women's spaces and abuse them.

well. Transmen aren't doing that. Some transwomen are. Transmen are women and for one i am glad they get maternity protections for doing that supremely manly thing of gestating and giving birth to a tiny human.

You don't get to decide who is a "true" Transgender woman
Some consider picking and choosing who is and isn't a TW to be Transphobic

You're not the only one, I support them too. The nastiness around trans people on here is off the scale though, some are relentless in their posting and seem to genuinely believe that they are 100% right to speak with such hate and that any one who disagrees in anti-women. The issue of trans men seems to be avoided as they don't fit the narrative on here of all trans people being perverts who only transition so they can get in women's spaces and abuse them.

Thank you for your reply I'm glad it's not just me there is just so much hate on the internet it's unbelievable

Yet so many trans forum have men talking about their 'boners' so I think it's safe to say they do have a sex drive.

Theonebutnotonly · 08/04/2026 15:51

Steph2002 · 08/04/2026 13:41

A trans woman in my eyes is a woman, and a trans man is a man. Especially once they have had gender reassignment surgery.

You’re free to state your opinion. And others are free to differ. (And your addition of "especially once they have had gender reassignment surgery" shows that you don’t really think transwomen are women at all! A very low percentage of those men claiming to be women have reassignment surgery.)

In my opinion a transwoman is a man who is adopting traditional, stereotypically feminine behaviour, which he is perfectly free to do. It’s just a shame that he feels so bound by the regressive stereotypes that he can’t dress and behave however he likes without having to deny that he’s a man.

All the same applies in reverse, of course, to transmen, but there isn’t so much focus on them because it’s biological males (which includes transwomen) who are statistically by far the greatest threat when it comes to aggression and violence, including sexual violence.

How nice individual trans people may be has no more to do with anything than talking about how nice any individual men may be. I still don’t want them in my changing rooms etc.

A reminder that a study found sex offenders who were ‘chemically castrated’ (the same drugs as T blockers) still reoffended but were even more violent in their sexual assaults.

C&P a hateful comment from this thread.

You're absolutely right - posts on the internet about fucking women with splintery rolling pins is so hateful, isn't it?

canisquaeso · 08/04/2026 15:53

I don’t hate anyone, but unfortunately mere self ID’ing doesn’t work, so there have to be boundaries.

Someone like Kim Petras or Laverne Cox are very different from Isla Bryson or Lia Thomas. There’s also the issue of being pre-op in women’s spaces. I do not want to share a changing room, a sauna, etc, with a man. If everyone was fine with that, the logical solution would be for every place to be unisex.

Funny how you are ignoring all the evidence of hatred from trans activists. I've never seen women's rights marches where women have threatened to kill, rape or punch trans people. There have been multiple trans rights marches where TRAs have threatened women with murder, rape and assault.

This is the nub of the problem though isn't it? How are we supposed to know the difference between the man who truly believes he's been born into the wrong body and the man who's simply presenting as a woman to access single sex spaces? And once we agree to admit some men because they seem 'nice' and can convincingly pass as a woman, we no longer have single sex spaces - we have mixed sex spaces with all the inherent dangers that come with that. As women we have fought so long and hard for the very few puny little rights we've acquired that here's no way we will ever be relinquishing them just because some men - and misguided women -are demanding that we should.

Yeah honestly. One of my Thai friends is transgender. She’s not going into any male toilets. She’s stunning and would be raped in seconds, seeing as men can’t handle themselves. You wouldn’t have a clue she had a penis 20 years ago if you were in the stall next to her.

Well, I have a female friend who is also stunning and who has certainly safely used the male toilet in nightclubs, pubs etc. As I have I, even though I am definitely not stunning. Needs must, recognized by both men and women, triumphs on occasion.
The ‘men just can’t help themselves’ defence of rape is a completely bullshit argument and certainly doesn’t wash in court these days. Because it's bullshit. Men commit rape and sexual assaults and indeed many other crimes because they want to, they can and they have the opportunity.
NAMALT obviously. But rape is an overwhelmingly male crime.

No, they're not. They are all men.

Plastic surgery doesn't magically change you into a woman.

Steph2002 · 08/04/2026 15:55

Thank you I totally agree the only issues I've encountered are from cis men
