He's been very good about pursuing rape gangs. But I wonder if it's motivated purely by concern for women and girls. I saw on the party website FAQs that 'high level" donors will receive a tie (presumably branded). No apparent thought given to the possibility of a high level female donor.

Seriously. Far right fascism is not a friend to feminists

Please point at the fascism and where it hurt you?

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 15/02/2026 21:49

Hang on what, we’ve got 2 far right parties now? When did this happen?
Not planning to vote for either of them of course.

Johnogroats · 15/02/2026 21:52

Seriously? Maybe listen to Natalie Fleet who has actually been through this. This guy is an utter turnip.

Sorry me again…..

do tell me when secure borders, an efficient civil service, investigating crime regardless of skin colour and equal rights for women became far right….

It didn't. Far Right parties just pretend the rest of society doesn't talk about these things.

Well you see I just read the long rambly front page from the OP’s link and there was nothing about women’s rights and a lot about mass deportations, removing benefits from asylum seekers and other things which are going to negatively affect women and girls, including some I know.
Have you got them muddled up with a different party? I think the WEP folded.

BettyBooper · 15/02/2026 22:15

TooBigForMyBoots · 15/02/2026 21:58

Well Labour, the Greens and the LDs might talk about women's rights, but mostly how these can be applied to men so....

Calling Reform and Restore Far Right is just lazy imo. If you don't like what they stand for, fine. Say what it is specifically you want to discuss.

But shouting 'Far Right!' to get the conversation closed down is becoming the new 'transphobia!'. It loses all meaning.

TooBigForMyBoots · 15/02/2026 22:16

Rupert Lowe doesn't give a shit about. Women. Sure wasn't he kicked out of Reform for harassing women?

Do give him credit for pursuing the rape gang inquiry.

Oh god. Not another one. sighs.

Just give us a party with intellectual heavyweights. People who have the potential of becoming credible statesmen and women, with some integrity and gravitas. Who want to represent the whole country. Who believe in building up commerce and enterprise but also have the humanity to support the most vulnerable in society. Who see us as communities. Not factions. Who believe being a politician is a service to your country. Not a vehicle to serve yourself.

Ach. I'm just barking at the moon.

User253853 · 15/02/2026 22:33

To be honest I think it’s great. Anything that splits the far right vote is good in my books.

don’t pretend that the far right parties are trying to make things better for women though, they are not.

I agree. It’s getting boring now.

What do you mean, pursuing it? It was happening without Rupert Lowe, he just talks about it a lot. Quite honestly, i feel that he chooses the most salacious details to repeat on his social media, and while he will allegedly be tougher on perpetrators, I couldn't see much about support for victims.

I am grateful for every bit of light cast on rape gangs. It doesn't mean Rupert Lowe cares about women though. His actions towards women he worked with demonstrate that.

It's independent and crowd funded because the government wouldn't do it. Robert Lowe is leading it. It wouldn't be happening without him.

What did he do?

CarefullyCuratedFurniture · 15/02/2026 22:43

My apologies- Rupert Lowe (not Robert) has been instrumental in setting up this inquiry. I had it confused with something else. I still think the particular bits of evidence he chooses to share on social media are dubious though.

Was he? What did he do? All I've seen is that there was found to be no evidence. Have you got evidence to the contrary?

Dubious in what way?

Well also this

'Lowe was elected as a Reform UK MP in last year's general election but was suspended by the party in March, amid claims of threats towards the party's chairman, Zia Yusuf.
Malcolm McHaffie, head of the CPS, said it made the decision not to press charges "following a thorough and detailed review of the evidence".'

He is only pursuing it because they have brown skin, and weren’t British.

Not because they systematically raped thousands of girls? Because the girls were white? And everyone turned a blind eye because they have brown skin and weren't British?

If you don't believe this happened you are part of the problem.

Do you think it should even be pursued at all? Should we just ignore it?
