I would but it's really low traffic
if anyone wanted to put an appeal on the popular Brighton FB groups linking the article https://archive.ph/C4eXs and telling parents to get in touch with Conrathe Gardner.....
https://www.facebook.com/groups/970570516361844

Right now despite all the efforts and pushing and poking people - we are sitting at one parent. Me.

I tried posting something on some local FB groups yesterday. The posts have been left Pending. The B&H Noticeboard rules makes it clear it wouldn't accept a post of this nature. It is so frustrating, almost impossible to get the word out to the right demograhic.

It's parents we need, so no point leaving posters in parks etc. We need a covert person to drop flyers in pubs, coffee shops, Withdean gym, on local and London trains, that kind of thing.

Is there anyone else in PSHEBrighton that can help either by coming forward or trying to publicise?

Look at survivors stories on Everyone's Invited to see how many girls report (hardly any), and what happens when they do (usually gets worse). You maybe able to search by school or area.

I think the problem you’ll have is trying to get data as this is such an obvious safeguarding fail not many other schools have changing rooms that are mixed sex.

Sadly I think there are thousands of them. But they don't class it as mixed sex and so...

(this one does not class it as mixed sex at all)

Thank you so much. PSHE Brighton is not as big as may be suspected, very much in touch with everyone in it :) but thanks

I haven't posted enough on this site for my opinion to count for anything, but if the conversation here moves to the Clickbait Board AIBU thread instead, maybe that will keep it higher in terms of thread rankings and get it more attention and maybe help? Sorry for butting in.

To ask for parents in Brighton who would object to males being in their daughter changing room, without even their knowledge, to come forward and help with this legal case? | Mumsnet

There’s an ongoing legal case involving a large, central Brighton secondary school. The allegation is that the school has been allowing male pupils to...

This may help you OP -

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-to-publish-new-gender-guidance-for-schools

From a BBC article about the updated guidance:

The guidance also says there are "no exceptions" for single-sex facilities at schools and colleges, including toilets and changing rooms, with single-sex sports also protected.

Government to publish new gender guidance for schools

Guidance for gender questioning children is clear schools should take a careful approach when a child asks to social transition.

@SingleSexSpacesInSchools I am absolutely sure that the brave and persistent push you have made to safeguard your daughter has played into this guidance being as straightforward and unequivocal as it sounds to be.

I am sure BP knows about your case. As we've seen there are a lot of educators and people in education and government who, chillingly, are very very wedded to their wish to push male bodied pupils into girls spaces. Who should not, IMO, get to keep their jobs.

It's a shame all the fine words about safeguarding on the government page about this haven't translated into reality in your school.

From the link: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-to-publish-new-gender-guidance-for-schools
Paul Whiteman, general secretary at school leaders’ union NAHT, said:
Placing this within existing safeguarding guidance ensures that the key principles of safeguarding children underpin the approach schools take. It is important to remember that individual children and young people are at the heart of this, and schools remain focused on ensuring that every child in their care is safe and treated with compassion and humanity.

I'm tempted to write to Paul Whiteman and direct him to OP's threads. Because his daughter hasn't been 'treated with compassion and humanity' and neither has he.

Thank you.

Without blowing any trumpets I know for sure Bridget Phillpson saw the letter before action, as she was named on it. I have no idea how much impact it has had, but sure cannot of helped her case.

Frankly maybe the unions should have their noses rubbed in it. This has cost me. A lot.

I think I will email him. I'll let you know if I get anything back.

Edited to add: I might make it a bit more anonymous as don't want any more heat on OP but I will say that I know for a fact many girls have had male bodied children in their school changing rooms and toilets for YEARS. And that that safeguarding failure for those girls cannot be easily undone because they've been taught adult wants are prioritised over girls rights and their boundaries will have been eroded.

There are some examples of assault on girls by boys in girls spaces that I'll add too.

Just wanted to say how much I've admired your dedication and fighting spirit OP. If all dad's were like you the world would be a better place. I hope the Brighton School takes on board the new School's Guidance asap and saves you having to take further action, you need a break!

I hope the head teacher at your daughter]'s school spends the half term reflecting on their decisions and the impacts on girls at their school which have clearly ALWAYS been unlawful. Fingers crossed for a meaningful change in the immediate future.

I hope so too, but I'm not holding my breath.
