the GLP are sort of the curse of bad luck so let’s see what happens…

So they are aware sex matters…

well indeed. I genuinely do not know what they would do if a trans identified female insisted on playing on the male rugby team? It's all hidden and case by case and never written down... deliberately

Mixed. Believe contact sports like rugby is sex separated though

How can they separate for one thing but not another on the grounds of safeguarding?!

That's almost worse because they absolutely KNOW they just don't care!

Keeptoiletssafe · 06/02/2026 12:31

Schools are supposed to act as a ‘prudent parent’ would whilst children are in their care, according to the DfE. I wonder how many prudent parents would be fine with their daughters changing with boys?

TheNightingalesStarling · 06/02/2026 11:36

OP.... at your DDs school is PE mixed or separate boys and girls lessons? And do they do any contact sports within the lessons?

I'm wondering this. If there is boy's football and girls football session on separate pitches, where is the boy-who-wants-to-be-a-girl playing?

The adults in the school may want to run with an unwritten policy but that is the adults choosing to failing to carry out their functions.

Policy cant be hidden away and not written down.

Once the school decide to break the law and allow unlawful mixed sex they must justify why they are breaking the EA10.

Also the board and Head cant decide they can run an undocumented ad hoc decision making process. To do that opena the school up to by anyone and everyone who is inclusively excluded from the provision.

Case by case without a robust preemptive safeguarding framework is the adults in the school choosing to not safeguard.

JudeyJudey · 06/02/2026 13:06

Sorry, if I've missed this, but is there any legal action on the horizon?

My experience so far has been that at the point where they divide the sexes for PE, there's a 3rd category for kids of both sexes who aren't massively into the school team sports. They do athletics, racquet sports, mixed handball, gym etc

I don't know how common this is, but it's been great for my son who's very fit but would get snapped in half by rugby and isn't into lads bantz.

You are right of course on every point. So we shall see what we shall see in the near future.

At my son’s high school they have a school football team and a girls football team. The football team is generally called the boys team but does include one exceptionally good female player ( she plays for an academy) no suggestion she is anything other than a girl whose good at football. I doubt a boy would be allowed in the other team though I don’t think anyone has tried.

The answer you are fishing for is:

Make pathways to and through transition harder than anything anyone should ever successfully accomplish. Begrudgingly allow those very uncommon few to overcome the cultural hurdles, source resources, convince skeptical medical providers and make it through to a subjective and highly regulated socially invisible and isolated post-transition life.

This was what my life was like 40 years ago. You wish to send everyone back to the 1980s.

No.

Edited

Trans was only invented about fifty years ago. For the young it's a delusion. For older males it's a fetish. I don't think we should pander to either in their quest for body modification any more than we should allow bodybuilders to take anabolic steroids in their quest for body modification.

I've already agreed that no one should ever be forced to be naked in front of another person.

I continue to be shocked to learn any institution in this day and age would be forcing 13 year olds to be naked in front of anyone. Has anyone told the authorities? Based on this board, I would have suspicions that nakedness isn't the real focus.

Communal changing rooms separated by sex are normal in the UK both in schools & workplaces. Where do you live?

I'm curious how GLP know about the legal action. Have the school told them or has JM seen the press articles and thought he'd just independently set up a new grift?

I am pretty sure that our current me-railer is a returnee poster who used to flutter into threads and ensure they filled up. They know exactly how to post to ensure that someone will continue to respond, no matter how many of us try to discuss the original topic. I think you may have to consider this thread lost as a discussion of GLP involving itself in your fight @SingleSexSpacesInSchools . However I’m also sure that you will continue to update us as and when you can in future threads. Thank you for fighting for your daughter and all girls.

Yep.

@SingleSexSpacesInSchools
The Children of Transitioners group have previously published their submission to the UK government regarding the negative impact on girls caused by male 'self ID' into female spaces and the determination of this group of men (ie who lie they are female) to ignore and over ride normal female boundaries of bodily privacy and consent :
childrenoftransitioners.org/gra-inquiry-submission/

The Courts have also already ruled that children do not exist to validate a transperson's delusion/ fantasies.

Hope some of that's useful !

Thank you for these!

Explains a bit. I've a Canadian friend. I didn't realise until recently how misogynist their culture is. Like, work dos at strip bars is normal. Very much what men say goes.

I bet the schools lawyers have learned a lot from these threads. I have given my time and expertise to them by writing the facts on this thread in the hope they can get up to speed which is of course is really safeguarding and commonsense.

Look at the headlines today:
• Serial killer given 40-year sentence for murdering Victoria Hall, 17, as judge says 'you'll die in prison'
• Wife of summer camp abuser calls him 'sadistic, monstrous paedophile' at sentencing hearing. The former vet and teacher has pleaded guilty to 18 charges including sexual assault and child cruelty
• Starmer apology a 'huge step', says Epstein survivor.
• 'PM's error of judgement was an error a lot of people made' - Starmer's biographer
• We had sex in a Chinese hotel, then found we had been broadcast to thousands.

Then reflect why on earth could parents possibly want safeguarding for their children, particularly when it is about girls changing in front of boys??

Keeptoiletssafe · 06/02/2026 15:30

Apologies cut and pasted bbc hyperlink accidentally and can’t edit it out. That story is horrific and shows why safeguarding should be paramount.

I knew I was going to eventually transition before I was 8. I'm pretty certain attributing transness to shaping up in a 'man world' and dressing and deceiving others is a gender critical belief.

You have no idea what I was subjected to by men.

If you’ve always been a girl and then a woman, what exactly were you transitioning from or to?

The best PE lessons I had were when they sorted us by ability (still single-sex) and I didn't have to worry about being with people much better than me. This was done routinely in every other subject but the PE teachers mostly insisted on all abilities playing together for some reason.

Hueyblueyandtheshoes · 06/02/2026 11:31

If we are both within the normal range you will be 51% stronger than me because you are male.

This is accurate based upon biological sex based data.

I would presume 'biological sex based data' collected from non-trans participants? I would say is surprising that science-focused gender critical beliefs disallow for and/or flat out ignore basic hormonal influence and a biological lack of male adult development. But, allowing such an acknowledgement would make grouping trans women into 'biological men' very difficult.
