MN has made me pink and I am outraged at the stereotyping!

I feel that I have been taken over by aliens.

All my posts are now pink.

And OP posts are now the blue that used to be the colour on MNHQ posts.

The old colours are back.

Now seeing my suffragette colours. (You have to go and re-pick them obviously)

But they have not got rid of the terrible blue for headings etc..

Yes, isn't it wonderful? 😊The somewhat darker blue for buttons helps too, though I would still prefer the original dark and more subdued blue. I only use MN on my laptop so can avoid scrolling down as far as the huge banner at the bottom of the page which is still too bright and harsh. Must be much worse on mobile devices.

Well imagine them on a desk top where the MN web pages are now like a hostile glare into the eyes.

The worst example is the "active" page which I never knew about!

But took a look as so many said it was bad.

It was like having a glare radiating out of the screen.

Its that terrible luminous blue they are using.

@IwantToRetire You have my complete sympathy. I too had never used the Active page , so had a quick look. I now understand why people are so unhappy about it. It's dreadful.

Sadly the official MN thread on this is now full.

So not sure how else to continue pressure.

For some inexplicable reason MN have now removed the ability to set custom highlight colours for OP and user's own posts while viewing the site in dark mode.

I've been using that facility for years because I found it extremely useful and now they've removed it. How asinine!

I saw a post from MNHQ saying that they are working on restoring colour options to dark mode. Hopefully it won't take long.

I was wondering what all the fuss on this thread was.. but now... the pink just reminds me of a runny period I need to clean before going out

Not sure I wanted that image to lodge in my mind!

I had a look at the Active page (which I dont use) as so many complained about it.

Now it is still that shouty blue, but with screaming pink letters. Very few FWR threads qualify.

My dark glasses aren't dark enough

Has the shouty blue been toned down.

I think it might have been, but now I am getting a sort of ingrained reaction to MN pages and experience the blue as very glaring.

Blue as "Post" button and strip at the top of the page with various options listed.
