For example
I don’t understand what’s been done
to ensure that boundaries aren’t blurred between protecting single sex spaces and demonising trans people, it seems like the former can only be achieved by latter and that is where I fundamentally disagree.

They are no more demonised than I am if I am refused a blue badge because I don’t have a disability or a state pension because I am 37.

You can certainly argue for adequate provision of specialist and/or mixed sex services.

I just can’t think of a single real world example of when my privacy, safety or dignity have been jeopardised by a trans person. There’s a lot of buzz words that I can see would make me very angry if I subscribed to the belief that trans people are less than or if I was generally a more vulnerable and fearful person, which is where I think this debate falls apart. The fight seems to be had under the guise of a reasonable request and with the assertion that this is very regularly denied in the real world - it’s not, nor is there an actual real thread of it being, so I think we can probably just leave trans people alone

You do you, but stop telling men women are ok with them in our spaces. The majority of us are not.

Could you signpost me towards the schools written policy on this?

Not without outing the school no and given the legal situation, I can;t . However you can read the trans inclusion toolkit all brighton schools follow

Interestingly, to get back to Utah, in 2022 Governor Cox vetoed HB11 which would have banned transgender youth from participating in high school sports.

Also interestingly Charlie Kirk had publicly spoken out against Governor Cox in this regard.

I’ve noticed many Americans online stating they regard him as a RINO.

Do you think the safety of female prisoners is jeopardised by male rapists being placed in womens prisons?

Fair enough, I’d be very surprised if what they are proposing aren’t single sex spaces AND neutral spaces as well as accessible changing/toileting that can be used by anyone that is uncomfortable for any reason

Were transgender youth being banned from high school sports or just being banned from the opposite sex teams and leagues

Well I’m sure she knows her own children’s school better than random posters on Mumsnet.

Are you calling my daughter a liar? Or her class mates?

This school allows males into female changing spaces, right now, with no more info than they say they are. Please read the discussion links I provided.

Also read the inclusion kit.

Sorry, what is a RINO? I’ve seen it before but don’t actually know what it stands for. Republican something?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2025 11:25

I wouldn’t waste too much of your time explaining further@SingleSexSpacesInSchools- the pp can read your thread if they want.

No I’m not calling her her liar, I just don’t believe she won’t have been provided with an alternative space where she can feel comfortable. It’s a nuanced topic and no one’s feelings, safety or dignity should be denied in the process of figuring out the best route forward to inclusion. Because trans people do exist, and the vast majority are trying to do just that - exist, safely, just like your daughter.

I'm sorry you think females should get out of their own spaces, be othered, cancelled and shunned - for a male to come in and show his wang to a load of fourteen year olds?

You think that's safe?

And fair? FFS

Not a single female was ever told a male would be changing with them, never given the chance to object, parents never told

No males should ever be in female spaces. Never.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2025 11:34

The alternative space should clearly be for the boy, not the girls. Clue: this is why many people see your ideological worldview as misogynistic @Waitingforthecold

There’s clearly been a traumatic incident at your daughter’s school, which is awful and reading between the lines - sexual assault. Unfortunately there is risk of this happening regardless of inclusion policy and the person held accountable should be the assaulter, not the entire trans community

Ereshkigalangcleg · 15/09/2025 11:38

The simplest course of action in all circumstances is for men and boys to respect women and girls and stay out of our spaces.

But it's the entire trans community insisting males are allowed in females spaces, even those under 16. This is happening everywhere.

And it's not this one school, it's hundreds up and down the country, let alone every other country.

No males in female spaces ever.

Good for you that you can't think of an example where you have been impacted personally (luxury beliefs). Are unaware of the many many tribunals of women who have been impacted? Just a few of the top of my head - Roz Adams who believes that rape victims have the right to know the sex of their counsellor, won her tribunal against Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre. Sarah Summers settled her case recently with the Survivors Network who have agreed to provide one guaranteed single sex group therapy session for rape victims. Social workers Rachel Meade and Lizzie Pitt who were concerned about the impact gender ideology has on safeguarding young people and who were discriminated against by their employers for their views. The Darlington Nurses tribunal starts next month's. Dozens of nurses complained to HR about a male colleague being given access to the female changing room and behaving inappropriately.

Are you aware of the women who have been sexually assaulted in prison after male prisoners were housed in the female estate? Are you aware of the battle female athletes have been having to make the the female category single sex again to restore fair and safe competition? These cases are happening all over the world as women fight back against having their rights stripped away.

We discuss these things on this board because we.care about this, not because we're a bunch of bigots who are bothered by how someone chooses to dress or present.

Are we holding all Males accountable for the actions of the violent ones when we exclude them from female single sex spaces? Do you understand anything at all about safeguarding?

Are trans people seriously being held accountable to men’s treatment of women? Unfortunately men will find ways to abuse, assault and murder women regardless of what we do about single sex spaces.

my point is that I do not believe protecting single sec spaces will make any difference to the stats on male violence of women and girls. I would argue there’s a much larger, threat in common

The original comment I responded to literally stated that trans people are MEN - that undeniably portrays very little understanding of the topic, whether or not that’s true. If you’re posting on a public forum where your views are going to end up in a very generic trending section then you cannot assume that everyone reading your comments is part of your group and capable of reading between the lines.

what the poster clearly meant was that the trans people your cause takes issue with are all men - what I don’t understand is how this rhetoric runs smoothly alongside the idea that people can present however they wants. For example
I don’t understand what’s been done
to ensure that boundaries aren’t blurred between protecting single sex spaces and demonising trans people, it seems like the former can only be achieved by latter and that is where I fundamentally disagree.

Can you point out where the poster "literally stated that trans people are MEN"?

Because I think reading that post, the poster was very clearly talking about a group of male people with transgender identities. But perhaps I am missing something.

However, again, I suggest if you are genuinely interested, you read the many threads on this board discussing this topic. Or start a new thread.

If you want to get a better overview, can I also suggest you read books. I suggest Helen Joyce, 'Trans' is a great place to start. Or any interview with Helen Joyce.

This video linked to in this site may be helpful to you too. It is available on YouTube too. It is the one that was cancelled 2 or 3 times from being privately viewed at the Edinburgh University. Maybe you can watch it and tell us why it should have been allowed to be cancelled by protesters each time?
