My controversial opinion is that most of the Mums who obsess here over penises, uteruses and chromosomes, would pick more important and interesting topics if their own child was trans.

I love taramasalata, last time I was at Baba in Edinburgh I had whipped cod roe for starter, so good.

I like most things, which is prolly why I'm fat.

I love pineapple on pizza too - but recently I had a pizza that had a cream cheese sauce, rather than tomato sauce, topped with sliced apples, Gorgonzola and olive tapenade - it was the most delicious pizza I have eaten in years.

I had apple tea in Turkey, which was quite nice. But 'tea' tea is just bitter and bleurgh!

Agreed. Tea is utterly pointless imo.

At a push, a nice strong peppermint tea is nice but that 'ooh, let's have a lovely cup of tea' thing leaves me cold.

I wonder if, in a few years time, some people will look back and ask themselves why they risked their relationships with people close to them just to support an ideology as bonkers and dangerous as gender ideology, for people who'd drop them the moment they step even the teensiest bit out of line.

There's a pizza place not far from where dd lives in Edi and they make pizzas with white bases and also with pumpkin cream base. She says they are great.

Ohhh I wish I could give you the recipe, @PottedPerennial - the best I can do is guess. The pizza came from Storico in Ipswich, and the description is fiordilatte (a fresh, light cows milk cheese similar to mozzarella), sliced apples (Granny Smith, I think), Gorgonzola, truffle oil and tapenade (the tapenade was in blobs, not all mixed in).

Just looked up that pizzeria and it sounds delicious. Pizza number 4 for me!

If I'm being particularly fancy, the pizza I like to make is a spelt base pizza dough (with gluten intolerance, it makes my stomach hurt less), my own pizza sauce, mozzarella, sauted leeks and asparagus tips, black olives, prosciutto cotto, frozen peas and a poached egg on top. It is glorious.

On the pizza front, can I make the case for white pizza with anchovy and lemon? Make a bechamel, spread over the base (I recommend large fresh naans from an Asian supermarket or similar), add anchovies and very finely sliced lemon. Scatter with mozzarella and bake for approx 12 mins at 180.
