Wow. Have you seen all the Pride and Trans flags flying in the audiences at Glastonbury?

No. Neither have I.

Is it the heat that brings them out?

As in hot-headed?
It's also getting closer to the school holidays and some finish earlier in the year?
Personally I think there are people who don't know, or cannot face, that dysphoria is a mental illness and think suffers need to be deluded rather than helped to see reality. They feel they need to stand against all pro reality people.
The lack of Pride flags suggests pro reality maybe more widespread (now the fad has died down).

How do you function out there in the real world? Do you run away every time a man is walking towards you on the pavement?

How nice it must be to not be a rape survivor. You realise we are not talking about the 'pavement', we are talking about spaces that are purposely designed to be safe female only spaces.

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:02

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 15:11

I'm not supporting anything. I just dont have an issue with transgender. I dont fall for scaremongering.

The issue is about male vs female. Not 'transgender'.

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:03

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 15:15

So can transgender people not be raped? Why should they not be allowed access to crisis centres? Where do non transgender men currently go if they need support after rape?

98% of all rape victims are female.

Why do you think females are not entitled to a safe place where they won't be retraumatised?

And why do you think male rape victims are womens responsibility?

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:10

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 15:40

I mean that in the same way I say I'm not scared of men. I'll be scared in certain situations but I'm not scared of a gender of people.

How privileged you are. You're not a rape survivor like me nor a Domestic Violence victim or survivor. Males are the oppressor and predator group. Females are naturally wary of males. It's in hardwired into us for our survival. If you are female, the wiring has gone amiss in you somewhere or you're simply yet to experience violence at the hands of a male.

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:20

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 16:19

Well currently there are centres that help both men and women under the one roof. Anyone in there needs help. Dont know why the transgender issue would change that.

Not in Brighton. A woman that suffered severe childhood sexual abuse and later rape was banned simply because she asked for a female-only group session. A male (fully appeared as a male too) was in on her session and was grinning as she recounted her trauma in the session. Clearly getting off on it. When she complained later, SHE was banned. He, was allowed to stay. Do you think that's fair? The centre has male only sessions, trans sessions, and womens sessions. They REFUSED her request for a female only session. Even though male and trans have their own.

You have no idea what you don't even know about this.

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:23

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 17:19

Lockable areas yes for when you are using the toilet or changing for example

What about communal facilities, that women flee to, such as the ladies, that give support to women?

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:25

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 17:41

Ok. Personally I have no issue with sharing a ward with a transgender person. The only time I wouldnt be happy is sharing with someone who clearly needed to be in a secure hospital instead. That would make me feel unsafe

It's about MALE or FEMALE. Not 'transgender person'.

That transgender person is MALE or FEMALE.

We are talking about MALE vs FEMALE facilities. Not 'transgender person or transgender facilities'.

You seem to think 'transgender' is some kind of third sex, or something? ??

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:27

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 17:49

It's well known that most sexual crimes are committed by men. It doesn't change my feelings on who I would feel most unsafe around.

Yes and 'transgender women' are male. Male sex with penis and testicles.

Do you grasp that much, at least?

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:31

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 18:36

Either. The sex of a person is not the thing that determines to me how safe I feel around them.

This is exactly like a hen saying "whether it's a fox or hen is not the thing that determines to me how safe I feel around them".

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:33

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 18:59

I agree I wouldnt want men and womens toilets to be mixed. Not least because I think men's toilets are yucky. But what I dont actually have a problem with is a transwoman using the female toilets. I still appreciate he is biologically male though.

Why do you think a transwoman with penis and testicles is no longer a man because he is in a dress? You realise he still stands up to pee, and still pees on the seat and floor, right?

You realise that a transwoman aka a male with penis and testicles who stands up to pee in the ladies makes it MIXED. Which is what you said you wouldn't want? So make up your mind. Which is it?

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:36

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 19:07

Why cant you believe me? Think about any nice man you know. Picture him in your head. Now think of a female person you wouldnt trust (I'm being careful how I word this so as not to offend). Now imagine waking up beside both of them in hospital. Are you honestly saying that simply because the woman was female you would feel safer beside her?

YES! Because a woman can't rape me. That horrible female still doesn't have male height and male strength.

I as a hen could have a hatred going on for a fellow hen in the chicken pen, but I'd still prefer to be stuck in a chicken pen with that hen, than with the nice fox.

Do you get it now?!??? ?

WithSilverBells · 29/06/2025 19:25

One Progress Pride window sticker in town, two low-key window stickers in the city (one being M&S ofc 🙄). Absolutely nothing in Tesco, whereas you couldn't move for Pride stuff in there a couple of years ago. No actual flags anywhere

Trans have really destroyed the Pride movement. I truly feel sorry for LGB people. They're almost back where they started, with the hatred of them.

Firstly it would depend what she was in prison for. Secondly I would hope that she wouldn't be sharing with a man. I dont have any idea how the system works but if she found herself with a man I would try and help her or the man get moved to a different cell, if possible.

Firstly it would depend what she was in prison for.

So in some situations you believe RAPE of a woman is justified.

I think I'm done trying to reason with you. Anyone who thinks womens safety and rights not to be raped depend on what crime she had done is lower than low and has no human blood running through them.

Ignoring the AI Pigeon Troll

Does anybody have updated pictures from Block 9

Pleased that the AHF holder got down the front again tonight

Yep, sorry I got drawn in with that horrible poster. As soon as they suggested a woman's right to safety is crime-dependent then I knew I was communicating with some sociopathic bot. But at least I tried, because others may be reading and it will help people see exactly what we're up against.

FeistyCat · 30/06/2025 02:49

Haulage · 29/06/2025 23:56

I saw the AHF flag mentioned on a thread, being waved vigorously at Rod Stewart I think

The more these flags are waved, the better.

I know right. It's disgusting. I'm not sure this poster is worth engaging with, given views like that.

Please not another one! Explain to me why you think I'm against homosexuals and that I'm misogynistic?

Your language, the tone of your posts. Maybe think about thst.

Nagginthenag · 30/06/2025 07:10

I know it's frowned on, but looking at some of the derailers other posts, it would appear he/she doesn't like women very much.

I’m surprised that Mumsnet HQ can’t see what’s happening here yet.

Nagginthenag · 30/06/2025 07:44

The post of mine that was deleted so quickly yesterday was just pointing out that transwomen's behaviours are men's behaviours, and some transwomen can abuse women in the same way some men do. The quick deletion and the 'you must hate transpeople' comment, encouraging people to assume I had posted something particularly horrible - very manipulative.

No women are in prison for TV licences.
MOJ data set proves it.

Technically no women are in prison for TV licenses.

There are women in prison for failing to pay fines for failing to pay their TV licenses.

There are also women in prison for trying to protect their children from violent and abusive fathers (yes, the Family Courts really do do this).

Frankly, regardless of the offence, no woman should be raped in prison and putting male prisoners in women’s gaols is state sanctioned rape.

Eagle2025 · 29/06/2025 20:22

I'm around men almost every day of my life. I'm starting to feel like some people on here dont interact with men at all.

That is just provocative.

You and I, and everyone here knows, very intimately, to the point where it exists only as a subliminal awareness - that males have a physical advantage over females, and if things turned sour or nasty it would be the female that would suffer.

We've all been subject to men leering at us, shouting out comments, projecting their hatred, or their fantasies, onto us; we've all been called a bitch or a slag by a man, had our body parts commented upon in public...many of us have suffered through male violence ( a cyclist last week smashed both of the wing mirrors off my car whilst threatening to punch me), including intimate sexual violence

We all know the potential. It exists as an unconscious defence mechanism.

BundleBoogie · 30/06/2025 09:06

There’s a very lacklustre Pride effort in my local area. The fb page garners a few likes (probably the organisers) and there were a few businesses with rainbow windows but the vast majority didn’t despite the somewhat coercive nature of the ‘invitation’ to participate.

The worst culprit is the supermarket with their ugly homophobia/‘Progress’ flags. Hopefully they’ll be gone soon.

SidewaysOtter · 30/06/2025 11:21

Well, at the end of Holy Month, I can honestly say I've seen very little Progress flag stuff, even in London. What I have seen is either low key (Waitrose's "Love Wins" bag) or using the original Pride flag instead.

I want to see Pride continue, but not as a vehicle for public display of fetishes or the force-teaming of TQWTF with the LGB.
