Fascinating stuff. Long-time TRA and transman https://x.com/legaltweetz has made an almost overnight conversion to the gender critical side.

Legaltweetz is now under sustained attack from other TRAs.

Wondering if it's no coincidence that it's a female person who's got disenchanted with the ideology and its supporters.

Is this a fair characterization and accurate timeline? Legaltweetz had been trending toward truscum for several months and taking heat for it from the trans community on Twitter. It seems that that is what set off a wave people looking to dig up dirt. The following tweet seems to be interaction you mentioned.

There's no confirmation where it took place or the greater context. The person in question (Frankie) was a transman, i.e. female. Has it been verified she's a rapist? That usually requires a conviction, certainly a serious allegation. There's no suggestions that alleged incident was anything more than a bit of consensual sex play. Was a 'TERF' actually doxed? Was the post pornographic or indecent? Was it even a legitimate tinder, 'hookup with a TERF', or was this just joking about being 'TERF in the streets trans in the sheets'? Many people here are familiar with TRA invective. It's inconceivable to me that the screen-shotted post in any way offended their delicate sensibilities or was the 'cause' of anything.

This has all the apparent ingredients of TRA super-heated rhetoric and attempted cancelling that we're all too familiar with, e.g. Helen Joyce has been caught reading child pornography or that Rowling is a known anti-semite. These sort of allegations make me very uncomfortable without considerably more substance than what I've seen posted here or elsewhere on the Internet.

I saw a post from one of the women who accused Frankie of abusing her, originally it was consensual but then it turned into something that was very much not. And there are those screenshots. Of course I don't know how much truth there is in it or if it's been reported to police. I was just going back through many posts and seeing what seemed to be happening. legaltweetz seemed to be fully onboard with being trans, fighting for trans rights or whatever her activism was about until very very recently. Then it seemed like a switch was flipped when all this happened. The whole thing is nasty and very unpleasant and she has definitely suffered some abusive tactics from others which is horrible.
Maybe you're right and it's some of it has been made up, I wouldn't know as I'd never heard of her before but it's what's been playing out on X. Many people saying they don't care about her detransitioning but going on about this rape stuff. I don't know why she keeps going on X, it would be much better for her mental health to stay well away and concentrate on her health and getting started with her detransition if that is what she wants to do.

I probably shouldn't have waded in with my comments when I didn't know anything about legaltweetz before all this. I did read through a lot of tweets and formed an opinion but I accept that things might not be quite as they seem.

Perhaps 'not all trans people are 'activists'' - but all 'trans people' must actively believe that they have changed from one 'gender' or sex to another 'gender' or sex. So if you think of that as a central tenet of being one of 'trans people', then they are actively (not passively) involved in an overall belief system.

They may, however, not necessarily be publicly active proselytisers and propagandists, no; but even then the vast majority will actively require a private commitment from others to affirm their new belief.

That's my reckon, anyway. And my experience.

Seems like a bit of an own goal. One of the main things she's exposed is the disdain TRAs treat detransitioners with. She doesn't seem like a very stable individual.

What's the point? If she wanted to know what gender critical women were up to, she could have read this very public forum, maybe read some of the many recent books or watched YouTube videos or listened to some of the podcasts. Maybe popped in here to ask a few questions.
Maybe she was trying to prove that old chestnut we're all funded by the right wing. In that case, I'll be paying close attention to her findings because I still haven't worked out where I claim my cheque.
