More details re the Darlington nurses. I don’t know what to say. This is outrageous. Just fucking outrageous.

I’d like to see this picked up by all media and the Darlington nurses invited onto radio and TV to tell their story. I know this would be a lot for Karen but I’m sure the other nurses would be happy to speak on her behalf. This needs sooooo much sunlight over the next week, questions asked in parliament until Streeting acts. And acts NOW

And he gets to indecently expose himself to women, with impunity.

Gleefully encouraged by his bosses, and can report any woman who won't comply.

I know we use the word dystopian a lot, but it truly is.

TheKeatingFive · 11/05/2025 09:30

He's just a pervert who found a way to watch women change, while being cheered on by his bosses.

Nothing more complicated than that.

It's not like perverts are especially rare.

It's just that we have somehow created a situation that offers them a supportive and celebratory way to access women.

Didshejustsaythatoutloud · 11/05/2025 09:35

Wtaf!!!Bloody hell, Karen is one truly amazing woman. It's just a shame she had to tell the world her most intimate secret just so a man didn't have hurt feelings.

IpsyUpsyDaisyDoos · 11/05/2025 09:36

I hate that this is where we are.

I have genuinely no issue with trans people. Identify as whoever or whatever you want. But biology is biology, your biological sex is a fact and it cannot be changed.

The fact that people, employers, THE FUCKING NHS, are too scared of upsetting people they will allow men into women's changing rooms is utterly terrifying. And that they'd let someone involved in a legal dispute with a patient because in the operating room with them, to avoid hurty feelings is appalling.

guinnessguzzler · 11/05/2025 09:36

Bloody hell, it really is almost unbelievable, if it wasn't for the fact we are all well aware of this shit and how long it's been going on. Well done to all the Darlington Nurses for their incredible bravery in standing up to this abusive man and the absolute numpties who enabled him. Well done to the Mail too - this really is an excellent piece.

INeedAPensieve · 11/05/2025 09:37

A horrifying read.

I'm actually really upset. I too await the usual suspects to come and scold us on this thread, but funnily enough they seem to ignore these type of threads. Wonder why that is???

Which of course is the criminal act of voyeurism! Yet the NHS enables this against their women staff.

Those new to this, take a look at how the Football Association intimidated, bullied and sanctioned a teenage girl out of women's football for challenging a large bearded man claiming to be a women on the opposing team:

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5331967-im-the-girl-banned-for-asking-a-transgender-opponent-are-you-a-man

This has all happened because women have been routinely silenced and bullied, threatened with the sack for objecting to providing their undressed bodies for the enjoyment of unknown men. For objecting to men taking women's places in women's sport. And for knowing that no child is born in the wrong body and that transitioning children is an abusive act.

MayMadness2025 · 11/05/2025 09:39

APPALLING, men, whatever they call themselves, or whatever they wear are men. Should never have been allowed. Giving men power over vulnerable women because they think they are women is disgusting. So many fell for this, allowing abuse of women, emotionally abusive, controlling behaviour by men.

Sue the organisations who went with this form of abuse.

"If that if it had happened to another woman, she might not have reacted in the way I did, but I couldn’t help my reaction. At first, when I saw Rose in there, in these boxers with holes that you could see through, I thought I was in the wrong changing room or mistaken. I was concentrating on getting something out of my locker when I heard this male voice behind me saying, “Are you not getting changed yet?”.
‘I looked over my shoulder and he was looking over his, just staring. I felt uncomfortable. I could feel the hair standing up on my arm. I just kept looking for my lip cream or whatever, but all I could think was “there is a man in the changing room”.
‘We were in a locked room – there’s a PIN entry – and sort of around a corner, so no one else was near. He asked again. I was thinking, “Why does he want to know if I’m getting changed? Does he want to provoke a reaction? Watch me get changed?”.
‘Inside I was thinking, “I am not getting changed in front of you, no”, but I couldn’t say anything. Then he gave this smirk, this expression, which was the same one my dad had when he was doing the abuse. He could see I was uncomfortable, and he didn’t seem to care.’"

HE DIDNT CARE! ABUSIVE MAN ENABLED BY THE TRANS IDEOLOGY.

LivelyFinch · 11/05/2025 09:40

I'm not one for a witch hunt but I do think in this case Rose should be publicly named. I suspect a few more women would come forward with stories on the delightful pervert Rose.

He has been named elsewhere.

But tbh I don't think that's necessary. The problem here is not the man in changing room per se. It's the people and policies that have enabled him.

Deckings · 11/05/2025 09:41

Thank goodness for the Supreme court ruling.
Who would join the NHS.
Both the NHS and the unions are a disgrace.
Those poor women.

I know, it's awful. It's the same with Sandie Peggie. That I know about a stranger's menopause struggles and bleeding/flooding (which should have never have come to light, that she had to share that fact) due to the fact of a bloody entitled, creepy man is so fucked up. Worse that Karen had her health endangered due to the creepy man in her situation beggars belief. I spoke up at work the other day. My team are all be kinders and shouted me down using words like "toxic debate" and shit like that. But I don't care anymore. My card is marked now but women should not have to put up with this and I am so angry at the enablers as well as the creepy men. Fuck them all. Sorry for swearing, I'm just so done with this bullshit.

rebmacesrevda · 11/05/2025 09:42

Datun · 11/05/2025 09:22

And they said something like Rose would be willing to do it. I bet he fucking would. That means he was asked. Or he offered.

Why can't these people see what they're looking at? Where are these blinkers from??

I think they can't see because they are in thrall to a narcissist. We are all being gaslit, and far too many people are still blinded by the deception.

I often wonder about the women who defend these men, and deny the risks of allowing males into female spaces. Sometimes I think, perhaps those women haven't been sexually assaulted yet, or maybe they have but are in denial.

newrubylane · 11/05/2025 09:42

I cried reading this. Particularly the part where she told her children, and her son's reaction.

The part about cancelling her operation left me flabbergasted. Has the NHS forgotten what it's job is? As others have said here, it's not even about the context of the legal case, but the mere fact that there was a legal dispute should have meant Rose wasn't anywhere near Karen's medical care.

I find myself thinking of all those times we are told that trans people are the 'most vulnerable', and I think no, this is what vulnerable looks like.

I'm angry and devastated for Karen.

MayMadness2025 · 11/05/2025 09:43

The sad thing is many women supported and enabled this abuse of women, telling us to be kind to trans identified men. I am so disgusted by the whole pushing of trans ideology.

Pinkrabbitt · 11/05/2025 09:43

It's like an episode of Black Mirror.

AzurePanda · 11/05/2025 09:44

It is just beyond sickening.

Datun · 11/05/2025 09:45

Years ago a woman was vilified on here for saying that this was a Pervert's Charter.

She was absolutely right

I agree although I think the managers have also been named elsewhere.
The more I hear about this story the more appalling it becomes.
Every member of staff who have enabled this man should be sacked and the police should be making a charge of indecent exposure.

Yes, it's probably number of reasons.

But there are so many people, everyone in the NHS, the police, universities, the government. They can't all be naive.

It really is the biggest, most effective global con ever

Datun · 11/05/2025 09:48

I know Wes Streeting has been dragging his heels, but as this story picks up speed, he's going to have to do something.

Even if you don't do it out fucking morality, Wes, the optics are going make the government look like a bunch of cunts.

borntobequiet · 11/05/2025 09:49

Very pleased to see this in Trending.

Ohisitjustme · 11/05/2025 09:49

Cowardice is a major factor. I'm sure there are many NHS managers who know it's wrong, but won't speak out. After all, they're not the ones who have to use the changing rooms at work.
