NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #3

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

Hard to know whether JR didn't understand the study or was deliberately misrepresenting it, but I'm also struggling to understand why she thought it benefited her client. (I haven't watched the tribunal, this is just based on what I've read here.)

Apparently Peggie's husband is to give testimony Signalbox. But I get the impression none of her colleagues will. Russell crowed about that yesterday as indicating they must all support Upton rather than choosing not to go through their own witch trials.

Maybe it's just me, but I am finding the inane replies in the Tribune Tweets threads really distracting. It is such an amazing job the TT team is doing, and I wish I didn't have to break my concentration to read those inanities. But, free speech, I guess...

I don't understand how her husband has anything whatsoever to do with it.

I sometimes struggle to follow threads on my computer/browser but I somehow manage to avoid most of the 'comments' by clicking on a current TT tweet and scrolling up (It does involve going in and out of all their posts, every so often).

This is what I do too. Works pretty well.

I'm wondering if JR constantly mangles Maya's name in the hope that one day Maya will finally bite and correct her, or get snippy, etc so that she can then throw it back at her at some point that like she was upset that her name was wrong transpeople are mortally wounded if you deadname or get a pronoun wrong.
