NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #3

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks.

Well I don’t know what was in her witness statement and I guess there could have been some humdinger in there they really wanted to challenge, but I feel like there may have been other tactical approaches that didn’t platform her quite so much.

She thinks she knows more about the book from reading the title than from actually reading the book??

No Hakeem was there for a while worked with adult trans in therapeutic groups at Portland, and written a book called de trans

Effectively Russell is arguing either that you have trans people or they're all detransitioners. And the latter is wrong. She's actually denying the existence of detransitioners. That's a hateful stance.

I am really puzzled why JR has spent so much time (with a brief foray into differing US state laws) getting Maya to talk about Malaga, cross dressing, detransitioners, sex crime rates of men vs women, etc, etc.
