Trans activists monitoring mumsnet

A particularly diligent trans identified male transactivist says there is a network monitoring “far right” activity on here.

which might explain why some
posters get suspended for saying things that some people find challenging to hear.

I’d like to keep hearing from TinselAngel. How do we protect her freedom of speech, expression, and you could probably argue association, from being limited by people who are known to harass women IRL?

how very genteel of you

I don't go around telling people to F off

So you say but considering it would have been deleted if you had there is no way any of us will ever know for sure.

Pity we can't trust people's words nowadays 😥

RufustheFactualReindeer · 09/09/2024 17:09

It is purple

and people are very quick to assume that if you are deleted its because you’ve been transphobic or made a personal attack etc

well some people are at any rate

TinselAngel · 09/09/2024 17:36

F off is quite genteel compared to some of the stuff I've been threatened with on social media and by email.

Boiledbeetle · 09/09/2024 17:39

I've just looked, my fuck Off (in bigly letters no less) to another poster still stands. However the post I was fuck offing to was deleted. So it's not a given that telling another poster to fuck Off will get you deleted.

I do wonder what the proper response would be to a person who one has accidentally seen kink photos of that one dearly wishes one could unsee, when one then encounters that person on a parenting forum?

I think that you gather your long skirts about you, cast your eyes to the heavens, compress your lips and pray for the strength to withstand this temptation to wrath.

NB: This seems to be the recommended course of action for those who hope for the smell of roses (also notes of honey, butter, roses, violets, frankincense, myrrh, jasmine, and lilies) when they die followed by a swift acknowledgement of sainthood. I'm uncertain what the rest of us do.

I'm surprised than MN deletes posters for requesting that other posters eff off, esp when FOTTFSOFATFOSM is a set of initials that I learned from many undeleted posts on this every forum.

DH excitedly told me one day of this amazing abbreviation he had encountered that began - and was astounded when I was able to finish it off for him.

It wasn't what he had expected of MN, that's for sure.

Typo.

If I wanted to do that though, I'd still be married.

Two things to add to this thread.

Firstly, Freda seems to have deleted the relevant tweet about having us under surveillance.

Secondly Freda has uploaded a short film onto X of a recent public event in which Freda was chanting "Fuck JK Rowling" into a microphone and encouraging audience participation in same.

If said person has a penis then only praise is allowed. Women only exist to make penis happy, especially if said penis owner is abusing you.

Thank-you Tinsel you spoke for many of us.

BezMills · 09/09/2024 20:01

Freda is pretty pathetic tbf, but that's mainly a Freda problem, even if they are busy trying to make it everyone else's

Ha ha ha, he deleted it? So now we won’t know he’s checking we are behaving like nice ladies?

Genius.

Fred could be a branch of Subway and still be a sandwich short of a picnic

It probably depends if a post gets reported or not. Someone probably reported the post you were fuck offing, but no one reported yours. The other F off post was probably reported which is why it got taken down and yours didn't.

WarriorN · 10/09/2024 09:58

Just an important point;

about a year ago Fred posted on / bumped a completed sex matters thread where women were signing a petition with a note to someone re cross referencing something.

Likely those who've posted "done" with a signing time in the petition.

Whether it was designed to spook women or a genuine data scraping exercise (and no idea how a 1000 post thread accepted a new post) I'd urge all to either name change regularly or hide identifying info as much as possible here.

WarriorN · 10/09/2024 10:03

Or potentially flagging to TRAs within mumsnet.

It wasn't anything to do with Sex Matters the current organisation, the term was used on MN first.

Someone managed to bump the "I Am Spartacus" thread which was filled up in 2016 yesterday as well. The poster before literally says she is the last "I am Spartacus" post.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/09/2024 10:26

Perhaps when posts are deleted they don't count in the numbers, although they show as deleted posts?

Conveniently ignoring any preceding information to explain just why women might be concerned about Sam’s professional behaviour.

Just like my DN when she was 5, pointing a finger and accusing a friend of taking a toy but neglecting to mention how she had been the one to grab it off the friend before the friend grabbed it off her back.

Mumsnet users monitoring trans people and attempting to get them fired? Saw this on twitter, blurred some details.
