I’d like to keep hearing from TinselAngel. How do we protect her freedom of speech, expression, and you could probably argue association, from being limited by people who are known to harass women IRL?

It's ironic that the authoritarian nature of no debate is the style of politics that has seen the rise of far right dictatorships, but there we go.

As an aside, I have the most marvellous diary free gluten free lemon cake I pinched off of a fb group the other day, apparently from a 70s cook book.

Edited to add thanks to others clarifying about Tinsel suspended, not banned. The TRAs must celebrate every time a FWR regular gets banned.

The mistake they make is that thinking women will go away if they are banned from this one website.

Flounce alert: Had an innocuous post on another thread deleted and decided that, perhaps, after all this is not the forum for me. Free speech really doesn’t exist here, does it?

Think I will delete my account later today. Have enjoyed engaging here for the most part as I have few people to discuss and learn new things for, but think I will have to find another way to connect with my ‘community’ of gender realist feminists. Will start with actually meeting up with my local WRN members. Would have liked to join a local political party, but I am currently homeless as a person who flipflops either side of the central line.

Don't go @CautiousLurker (although meeting the WRN campaigners is a great idea) MN is one of the few sites you can say trans women are men and not get deleted. I found out more about gender critical views on here after finally twigging that 'trans rights' were directly opposed to women's rights. I'm here to lay it out for the next woman like me who realises what she's being told doesn't add up but needs more information. Your contributions have been really useful. 🙂

I'd like it if you stayed @CautiousLurker . Someone may be targetting you for unfair objections because you spoke painful truth that got to the heart of things, and they are afraid of you in consequence. They know that some of us only need to see your name to be reminded that all this stuff isn't just theoretical, there are real suffering humans out there.

So please, if you feel up to it, keep your name visible, even if you don't want to post often for a while.

Re. the deleted post, I've had many. I think this board must have the highest amount of deleted posts on the whole forum.

I don't even think MN spends any time investigating or analysing these. It's far easier to delete.

Look at it this way: while the monitors are beaving away in their basements they aren't prancing around in our bathrooms.
