4 wide eyed innocent questions for GC women

KielderWater · 28/08/2024 15:12

  1. Do you believe all GC women agree that northern women make the best Yorkshire pudding batter due to their aggression?
  2. I know a left wing woman who thinks the milk should go in before the tea, is this abhorrent behaviour a left wing thing and will you disassociate yourself from the left because of it?
  3. Brambles mostly reproduce asexually. How many subspecies do you think there are?
  4. Is my husband gender nonconformist because he hung up the washing? Should I be worried he might start keeping track of the family’s birthdays next?

Happy to answer your questions too.

the rights of all women to have gravy on their chip barm.

My feminism is for all women. Brown bread and mayo with thin chips. White bread, butter and HP with chip shop chips. And yes, gravy. We need to unite with our chip butties, not divide our mayonnaise and gravy sisters. UNITE!

GrumpyPanda · 28/08/2024 15:40

Can we report to MN for derailing if anyone mentions the wird gender on here?

newtlover · 28/08/2024 15:41

DP says you are being transcondimental

EmpressaurusDeiGatti · 28/08/2024 15:42

It’s a while since I’ve made Yorkshire puddings, but can’t you go too far on the beating & bash all the air out of the batter?

Or am I thinking of meringues?

Plasmodesmata · 28/08/2024 15:44
  1. Who was it who said that Northern women were a subset of women like trans women except more aggressive? (I might be paraphrasing a bit). Was Aunt Bessie Northern?
  2. Milk should go in before the tea if pouring from a pot.
  3. Can Brambles change sex?
  4. Probably.
Igneococcus · 28/08/2024 15:46
  1. No opinion on YP, can take them or leave them, haven't had one in years.
  2. Milk always goes in first. Is that even a question?.
  3. Don't get a phylogeneticist started on the matter of species and where to draw the line if you don't have all day (at least not microbiologists).
  4. Dp does keep track of family birthdays but he's the one who remembers the Tribal Pages log in.
DeanElderberry · 28/08/2024 15:47

2 is it Barry's tea?

Brambles are bastards. They purposefully grow the other side of ditches with their best fruit just out of reach. They might want to identify as changing sex but we see those fruit…

Let us not forget the sisters in Northern Ireland who must not be deprived of a pastie bap, or maybe a wee bit of Veda and cheese.

Who’s Barry?

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/08/2024 15:50

I just googled that @StainlessSteelMouse and I approve the adding of the NI sisters' baps to the constitution.

Also, great username.

Or those of us from the Scottish East Coast with our chippie sauce.

Buffypaws · 28/08/2024 15:51
  1. No of course not. There can be no general agreement on this type of thing.
  2. I don’t think this is a left wing thing. This is how we did it at the queen’s garden parties. The queen wasn’t very left wing and neither were the caterers.
  3. surely you will just make the same species if you are reproducing asexually. I assume by parthogenesis?
  4. depends whether he did a good job
MrsTerryPratchett · 28/08/2024 15:51

Chippie sauce also approved. Unless this needs a 2/3 majority.

ghostyslovesheets · 28/08/2024 15:51

I'm a single parent -mainly because I am a man hating harpy - but I brew - I'm from Liverpool

2 of my 3 female children started playing football so naturally I started buying male school uniform and changed their names to Zak and Ace - I'm not an animal ffs

Also I would bring back hanging for people, how ever they identify, who hang washing by the shoulders - bastards

PeggyAKADogpool · 28/08/2024 15:51

Controversial.

Waiting for thread to go 'poof'

DeanElderberry · 28/08/2024 15:51

KielderWater · 28/08/2024 15:24

Following on from this.

  1. how far north do you live?
  2. do you steep or brew your tea?

1 Level with about half way up Labrador

2 I make it

ghostyslovesheets · 28/08/2024 15:53

I decree though that ONLY northern gravy can ever be put on chippy chips - I mean the dark black, slightly spicy, cut it with a knife gravy - anything else is just sad

hatboxes · 28/08/2024 15:56

newtlover · 28/08/2024 15:26

@KielderWater upside down is fine, as long as he isn't wasting line space by hanging them landscape instead of portrait. How is he hanging T shirts?

I hang mine landscape on the rotary because otherwise as they rotate they get caught on the, wait for it, brambles. True story.

PurpleSparkledPixie · 28/08/2024 15:57

GailBlancheViola · 28/08/2024 15:38

  1. do you steep or brew your tea?

You've left out an option, I have heard tea is 'mashed' in certain areas.

I always mash tea. Not sure where that word came from as my family come from Yorkshire, Hertfordshire and Middlesex but lived in the Midlands. However I do like strong tea but is that Yorkshire or builders 🤔

ChaChaChooey · 28/08/2024 15:58

MrsTerryPratchett · 28/08/2024 15:51

Chippie sauce also approved. Unless this needs a 2/3 majority.

A full selection of condiments for all of womenkind!

And tartare sauce to come in bigger sachets.

KielderWater · 28/08/2024 15:58
  1. *surely you will just make the same species if you are reproducing asexually. I assume by parthogenesis?

Aphids reproduce by pathnogenesis until they need to mix things up a bit so produce some males. Brambles reproduce by vegetatively like buttercups and clover in your lawn.

I would only ever put vinegar on chippy chips myself, but I want to be inclusive towards the gravy chip community.

Are you sure it isn’t ‘non-brewed condiment’?
