Is "openly Jewish" a hate crime under the April Fools Scottish hate crime law?

A Metropolitan police officer threatened to arrest a man for being "Openly Jewish" in London. Is this a hate crime in Scotland under the new hate crime laws?

I think it is. Could someone report it for me please I find it incredibly offensive and racist. I want to see what happens when Scottish Police try to get involved with racist actions taken by the Metropolitan Police.

I googled 'Illan Pappe' and am now reading about him, and I thought the article by Benny Morris seems interesting given their shared history.

It is not complex. It simply requires you to have a grasp of the issue. You don't appear to, quite like many other people on those marches who argue so vociferously, but when their points are unpacked or critiqued, collapse in a heap.

Ilan Pappe is a self proclaimed, post modernist historian, whose grasp of facts has been much critiqued by other historians. As a post modernist he is all about the narrative, not believing that there are ever any ever concrete truths.

It has been said of Pappe that: "Pappe is just telling stories with villains (zionists in this case) and heroes. Morris ( Historian Benny Morris) writes what he found to be truth (at least, it is his intention… people are not perfect), while Pappe at best writes what he “hopes” to be truth".......Ilan Peppe is not trying to write about history, he is writing about a narrative, the narrative of the Palestinians. He is an ideologue.

Rubbish, his work around the nakba is sourced on isrealiedocuments and testimonials from Jewish men involved in the raping and killing.

Why don't you try reading some literature on the matter. I've got a copy of Ilan Pappe's 'The Idea of Israel'. Reading helps you to understand what you are trying to justify or explain.

It is not "rubbish". He writes narratives about elements of the Palestinian experience. He is not an historian who is interested in objective truth.

Can I ask you Rebellious, why would a historian writing about, in the course of many aspects of his work, the palistian experience cause you to discount him professionally and as a moral person?
I'm Jewish but I'm not at all offended that Palestinians exist, and have existed for hundreds of years, and have their experiences, history, culture, everything other people have really.
