Or Wetwang.

My niece is in Wetwang.

It reminds me of Numberwang 🤣

THAT GADGIE’S GANNIN’ PROPER RADGIE - was not a quote about a man from George Orwell but maybe Geordie Orwell?

It is remarkable. You have to wonder at the motivation behind it. Profile building? Rage? Narcissistic breakdown? Willoughby has shown that they are an abuser and this is now indisputable, no matter how Willoughby tries to swing it.

On the Threadreader unroll, there was a tweet from IW saying that IW had written an article on whatever the subject in hand was, and did anyone want it?

Seems that IW may fancy IWself as a writer. Oddly enough I haven’t seen IW on the panel of Times staff writers but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time.

Has IW not got the contacts to place it anywhere? I thought IW was a newsreader?

GailBlancheViola · 10/03/2024 16:33

Presumably if the Met Police (or any other Police Force) do not bow down to IW law, IW will take up the legal process themself? That would be, shall we say, interesting.

As upthread, I suspect that IW is optimistic that the CPS' Sophie Cook might lend a sympathetic ear and extend some influence.

However, I'm very hazy on the CPS' powers to bring proceedings beyond dismissed charges by way of preferment of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment. There are no dismissed charges and a police force hasn't charged anyone. That said, I wouldn't be too surprised if W Yorkshire were willing to oblige—they have a rich history of supporting Mermaids et al. And this, of course:

Was it Humberside who sent an officer to Harry Miller? And surely Hayden has several on speed dial?

West Yorkshire Police have some explaining to do | Robert Jessel | The Critic Magazine

You’d think it was the most routine assignment for any police officer: escorting a teenager home after she’d had one too many on a girls’ night out. So why did this mundane duty result in a squad of…

The Sorry Police might be a good bet - it has a rep as being<ahem> sympathetic to TRAs.

Sorry Police Force have proved to be very Useful Idiots in that regard.

GailBlancheViola · 10/03/2024 17:03

It must be quite discombobulating that some Police Forces are no longer behaving as the private enforcement squad for TRAs.

When IW is used to privilege, equality feels like discrimination...

Swashbuckled · 10/03/2024 17:46

Oh, language...

One of the videos on this thread (can’t remember which, sorry) included IW pointing out that we have created a demeaning word “transwomen” which is problematic because it’s a made up word.

I wanted the interviewer to ask about the word ciswomen. Sadly, this didn’t happen.

I realise this is just one of a great many examples of the delusional narcissism, but wanted to get it off my chest nonetheless.

SirChenjins · 10/03/2024 17:51

Love that @SabrinaThwaite 😂

I came off Twitter and other SM a while back but am tempted to go back on for the sheer joy of watching JKR playing with IW like a cat plays with a mouse.

SabrinaThwaite · 10/03/2024 17:59

Meanwhile, Willoughby is having a meltdown over Camilla Tomminey’s article in the Torygraph.

Im grateful to Willoughby for posting photos of it as I don’t buy / subscribe to the Torygraph and I wouldn’t have read it otherwise.

Talk about own goals 🤣

Willoughby has now decided that Willoughbyself is not a transwoman and has made up the words ‘gayman’ and ‘lesbianwoman’ to prove … erm … I’m not sure what exactly.

SirChenjins · 10/03/2024 18:04

Oh, what a world, India, what a world…

SirChenjins · 10/03/2024 18:06

Is there a sliding scale of womanhood, with womanwoman at the top of the list of unattainable womans for the Willoughbys of this world?

Swashbuckled · 10/03/2024 18:08

@SabrinaThwaite

Thanks for clarifying. Much clearer now.
🤣

SamW98 · 10/03/2024 18:11

So IW is a real woman not a trans woman apparently but on First Dates recently ahe told her date she was trans

Does IW honestly think no one knows they was born with a penis?

Swashbuckled · 10/03/2024 18:13

Actually, while I’m getting things off my chest, I have another observation.

Several posters have asked for clarity from Mumsnet on whether we still have to avoid using male pronouns here given that the legal situation appears to be that we absolutely can.

Have we had any clarity on this yet?

JK Rowling is right: a trans woman is not a woman, and it’s not wrong to say so

I prefer to "IW" IW. Pronouns are too difficult. Apparently IW is sometimes a they (see Caolan Rob) and sometimes a she. I cannot be fucked figuring that shit out. So IW it is.

Swashbuckled · 10/03/2024 18:23

I get that.

I'd like to be able to say "he" though, just for the narcissism triggers....
