Winlloughby lives in Newcastle.

I did say it’s the UK’s very own Windy City …

Bliddy hell! I didn't know that . . . I live near Gateshead myself. I might run into him shopping in Tesco, buying tights or a new lippy or summat.

Edit - me and autocarrot again - the eternal battle

Didn't Freda Wallace make a big thing of going to Manchester chippies and noone raising an eyebrow? (The panel with Helen Joyce where Peter Tatchell unsuccessfully attempted to stop FW from consuming more wine.)

Yeah, I think I noticed it on a TV interview with IW dialling in from home and it said Newcastle on the info bar thingy.

Maybe you’ll have to stay south of the river now, just in case.

SabrinaThwaite · 10/03/2024 14:35

Meanwhile, in Windyland apparently the ‘police don’t understand the law’ and ‘watch this space’ 🙄

The law they don't understand will be the law according to IW presumably.

Tsk. There are many self-reports of how they can't walk down the street without constant horn beeps or siren wooing calls from men in cars. Ditto admiring catcalls from building sites.

Didn't DH comment on a validating experience when DH walked ahead of friends and asked them to note how many passers-by turned their heads in admiration?

Zuleika Dobson, everyone of them. Perhaps that could be a collective noun: the Zukies or the Dobsons. Optionally, the Beerbohms.

I’m thinking The Law According To Stonewall.

Winlloughby lives in Newcastle.

Oh crikey, I didn't know that! I'm going to have to move to Surrey!

I'm sure heads turned. Hmm

But perhaps someone should explain to them that somebody shouting "Your face could stop a clock" doesn't mean quite the same thing as "Your ethereal beauty makes time stand still"

It could clear up a few misconceptions.

Desperate times, desperate measures . . . 😂

GailBlancheViola · 10/03/2024 14:51

So Willoughby lives in Newcastle, Northumbria Police refused to action IW's demands but were lovely and allegedly said they were putting an NCHI against JKR.

Now Willoughby is very cross indeed with the Met Police, where do they fit into this and why?

Which Force don't know the law?

Emotionalsupportviper · 10/03/2024 14:52

<Darth Vader theme plays>

SabrinaThwaite · 10/03/2024 14:55

The south is very nice, I’ll have you know.

And it’s a damn sight warmer.

(Spent far too long freezing my bits off in winter on work sites in Newcastle).

That's why I mentioned Surrey. My aunt and cousin moved to New Malden when I was 12 and that's when I found out that Cheam and Surbiton weren't made up for "The Good Life!"

SabrinaThwaite · 10/03/2024 15:12

TBF, ‘Surbiton’ does sound made up.

How about Norbiton, then?

Maybe the Met now identifies as Northumbria Police.

SabrinaThwaite · 10/03/2024 15:27

Norbiton too - even auto carrot wanted to change that to Not iron.

Could be worse. You could live in Twatt.
